Commercial Insurance Team Lead

Role Description Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Team Leader to oversee and manage a team of professionals across multiple offices. This is a 100% management role, where you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the success of the Commercial Lines department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines servicing or production, coupled with proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more employees. Responsibilities - Lead and manage a team of Commercial Account Managers across 10 offices in NJ, NY, and VA. - Provide guidance, training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. - Assign daily tasks, set expectations, and ensure team accountability. - Collaborate with the Managing Director to support Commercial Account Executives. - Oversee new business and renewal workflows, including: - Client research and gathering underwriting information. - Conducting loss run analysis. - Preparing accurate submissions, including Acord applications and supplemental forms. - Binding coverage and ensuring compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements. - Reviewing policies for accuracy and addressing discrepancies. - Foster client loyalty by building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service. - Continuously develop your insurance expertise, leadership skills, and team management capabilities. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is mandatory. - Minimum of 5+ years in commercial lines servicing or production. - Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more employees. - Experience with generalist accounts, including manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution, and real estate/habitational. - Familiarity with Chubb, Dairyland, CNA, Auto Owners, and similar carriers. - Proficiency in AMS 360 is preferred. - Willingness to travel 20%-30% of the time to various offices. - Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
