About the Role The Document Controller is responsible for the effective management, control, and integrity of all project documentation related to mining projects and operations. This role ensures that records, drawings, reports, and technical documents are accurately processed, controlled, and distributed in compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring solid hands-on experience working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) in complex project environments, supporting multidisciplinary teams and managing large volumes of technical documentation. šŸ“Œ Key Challenges You Will Face: - Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures for mining projects in line with company, client, and industry standards. - Manage the receipt, review, registration, tracking, and distribution of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. - Ensure correct document numbering, revision control, version management, and full traceability across all systems. - Upload, manage, and monitor documentation using EDMS platforms such as InEight, Aconex, SharePoint, TeamBinder, ProjectWise, Documentum, or equivalent systems. - Maintain a central document register and ensure project stakeholders have access to the latest approved document revisions. - Coordinate document reviews and approvals with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to meet project timelines. - Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with metadata requirements, formatting standards, naming conventions, and project procedures. - Generate regular reports and dashboards on document status, outstanding reviews, transmittals, and compliance metrics. - Archive and close-out project documentation in accordance with records management and retention policies. - Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to project teams on document control processes and EDMS usage. - Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and project handover activities. šŸ“Œ What Will Make You Successful: Requirements - Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or related fields. - Experience in document control, preferably within mining, engineering, or construction projects. - Hands-on experience with EDMS tools and strong knowledge of document control principles. - Advanced English is required. - Advanced French (nice to have) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). - Knowledge of ISO 9001 and records management best practices is desirable.
