Senior Performance Ad Designer, Editor – Direct Response, E-commerce
Assist World
• Conduct deep ad research, take raw assets, UGC, AI generations, and product footage, and engineer them from scratch into high-converting Meta Ads. • Analyze creative performance using Motion or similar analytics tools without waiting for media buyers. • Diagnose failing ads by assessing metrics like Hook Rate, Hold Rate, Outbound CTR, and CPA. • Conduct competitive research to spot emerging trends and styles by mining platforms like Facebook Ad Library and TikTok Creative Center. • Create cohesive, high-converting static and video ads from raw footage and UGC. • Design visual and auditory hooks for the first 3 seconds of ads to maximize engagement. • Edit with a fast-paced style to maintain viewer retention on social media feeds. • Create dynamic text overlays and captions for narrative clarity, even when sound is off. • Apply impactful sound design and mix AI voiceovers with background tracks. • Rapidly iterate winning ads to produce variations and combat ad fatigue. • Utilize modular templates and asset libraries for consistent branding while speeding up production.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 10+ Years of Professional Experience: Proven, verifiable track record in direct-response video ad creation and e-commerce marketing (Agencies or 8-figure+ DTC health/wellness brands preferred).
- Elite Data & Motion Fluency: You must be an expert in using Motion (or similar) for creative reporting. You speak the language of performance marketing flawlessly and make design decisions based on business metrics, not just aesthetics.
- Direct Response DNA: You understand consumer psychology, pattern interrupts, and exactly why an ad converts.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut desktop. Familiarity with AI audio/video tools is a requirement.
- Speed & Precision: You are a machine. You know all the keyboard shortcuts, you work incredibly fast, and you do not sacrifice visual quality for speed.
- Portfolio Requirement: Your reel must showcase fast-paced, direct-response social media ads with heavy text overlays, UGC integration, and strong hooks. (Cinematic videos or non-DTC will not be considered).
