• Design and research new methods for data collection and the applications of that data to introduce new product features or serve as enhancements to existing features. • Perform data analysis on internally and externally derived datasets to assess data quality and conduct feasibility studies on inference techniques for security properties. • Ideate new product features and enhancements based on the latest security trends and capabilities. • Provide security subject matter expertise to influence security ratings methodology and policy. • Collaborate with product and engineering groups to develop new data processing specifications. • Collaborate with the Data Partnerships team to maintain partner relationships, serving as a technical liaison for external partners. • Conduct research, writing, and presentations in support of marketing activities and customer engagements to promote key findings and capabilities and explain data and ratings concepts.
Job Requirements
- Strong technical background with expertise in networking concepts, information security, and cryptography.
- Proficient in standard scripting languages, able to code data collection, analysis, and processing prototypes
- Capable of being self-motivated and operating autonomously on projects, or with others in a team.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, including ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
- Ability to conduct statistical experiments and test hypotheses.
- Proven track record in security data analysis and presentation.
- Interested in learning distributed computing technologies such as PySpark/EMR/Hadoop.
- B.S/M.S in Computer Science or similar field or commensurate experience.
