About Phorest Phorest powers 11,000 hair and beauty salons, spas and medi-aesthetic clinics using our software across the globe. Our aim is to capture 25% of the market globally – that’s one million salons and a billion-dollar company. We are growing and would like to add a new member to our team. You will join a group of highly motivated individuals, to help us grow Phorest faster. The Opportunity We’re hiring a People Operations Generalist to support the day-to-day running of our People Operations. This is a 12-month fixed term contract covering for a maternity leave. This role focuses on delivering an excellent employee experience across the lifecycle, managing a wide range of People activities while helping to improve and evolve how People Operations works across the business. You’ll play a key role in running People Ops day to day, while also helping to make our processes more streamlined, scalable, and easier to navigate for employees and managers. What You'll Do - Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle: Manage onboarding, job changes, and offboarding, including right to work checks, document verification, and regional compliance. - Lead People Ops administration: Oversee all documentation (contracts, updates, and records) to ensure total accuracy and consistency. - Drive payroll excellence: Prepare payroll inputs and support cycles to ensure timely and accurate processing for all employees. - Manage employee engagement: Resolve queries via the People inbox and Slack with a focus on delivering clear, solution-oriented support and a great experience. - Own benefits administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefit programs and inquiries. - Coordinate international mobility: Manage visas, relocations, and documentation, ensuring work eligibility remains valid for all global employees. - Maintain HRIS integrity: Execute changes within the HRIS while managing overall data accuracy and system health. - Drive process innovation: Partner with the team to better automate and integrate technology into core People processes. - Support Talent Acquisition: Assist the recruiting team with seamless interview coordination. Who You Are - 4+ years of People Ops experience: You are confident managing the core functional areas of the employee lifecycle. - Proficient with HRIS: Experienced in using systems like HiBob (or similar) with a deep understanding of the importance of data integrity. - Meticulous attention to detail: You take pride in the accuracy and precision of your work. - Employee-centric approach: You are passionate about the employee experience and treat it as a top priority in everything you do. - Adaptable and discerning: You bring a flexible mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity ("the grey") and applying sound judgment. - Tech-forward and curious: You are open to leveraging AI and modern tools to optimize and improve how work gets done. - Commitment to continuous improvement: You naturally look for ways to evolve processes and enhance efficiency. - Effective prioritization: You can successfully manage a varied workload and balance competing deadlines. - Proactive problem solver: You maintain a positive, practical, and solutions-focused mindset. - Collaborative teammate: You love working as part of a team, sharing knowledge, and learning alongside others.
