WHAT YOU'LL DO - Estimate, design, and implement testing for new major features/functionality - Create and execute functional and non-functional test cases - Engage team in risk analysis and provide recommendations - Reproduce complex issues within the assigned software - Proficient use of project and test tracking and documentation tools. Able to produce effective queries and searches. - Participate in product design reviews to learn about new functionality, contribute testing estimates, and contribute the testing/customer point of view - Direct test activities of multiple testers on a single project - Test automation regression maintenance & reporting - Share knowledge of product with support team members - may assist in training support on new features - Mentor less-experienced testers - Perform all of the above in a collaborative manner with a remote team QUALIFICATIONS - Good knowledge of major aspects of assigned product(s) - Good IT knowledge for Windows and relevant IT subjects - Good knowledge of a major scripting/programming language on the product’s platform. - Good knowledge of exploratory testing. Good knowledge of non-functional test techniques. - Good knowledge of test automation principles, tools, and patterns - Detail oriented, independent work ethic, ability to learn new skills through job training - Bonus experience: Git, CI/CD, Virtual Machines, SharePoint, Exchange, FTP servers, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, RESTful API calls At Fortra, we’re breaking the attack chain.
