As an IT Lead, you'll manage our existing IT team member, take direct ownership of day-to-day IT work, and play a key role in driving automation and efficiency across the company. This role sits within the Engineering department and works closely with engineering, and other teams to ensure our infrastructure, tooling, and processes support a fast-moving organization. What you’ll do - Lead and manage the IT function, including direct management of our current IT team member - Be hands-on with daily IT operations: you're not just directing, you're doing - Run helpdesk support, triaging and resolving issues for employees across the company - Own the full employee lifecycle from an IT perspective**:** manage onboarding (account provisioning, device setup, access grants, tooling walkthroughs) and offboarding (account deactivation, access revocation, device recovery, data handling), ensuring a smooth and secure experience at every stage - Manage the full device lifecycle (laptops, phones, tablets) including procurement, provisioning, and decommissioning - Own and operate our MDM platform, managing device policies, compliance, and security configurations - Administer and maintain our SaaS tooling stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others) - Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all company platforms, including regular access reviews and least-privilege enforcement - Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to identify and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work across the company - Contribute to IT security practices: endpoint protection, patch management, vulnerability response, and security awareness - Manage vendor relationships for IT services and hardware - Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and internal knowledge base - Support compliance requirements related to IT operations (COPPA, kidSAFE, data protection, etc.) What you’ll bring - 5+ years of experience in IT operations or systems administration, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or senior role - Strong hands-on skills across macOS and Windows environments - Experience with MDM solutions (Kandji, Jamf, Fleet, JumpCloud, or similar) - Solid knowledge of Google Workspace administration - Experience with identity and access management, SSO, and directory services - Experience designing and running structured onboarding/offboarding processes, ideally with some level of automation - Scripting ability (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate repetitive tasks and build internal tools - Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics) - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication: you can work with engineers and non-technical teams alike English is a must: We’re a multicultural team providing a service in English, so while certifications aren’t necessary, fluency is essential.
