Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for candidates who must have (at a minimum) the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution - Minimum seven (7) years of industrial filtration or fluid separation process development and/or manufacturing science and technology (MSAT) experience in a commercial environment (private, public, government or military) - Minimum two (2) years of bioprocess development and/or manufacturing science and technology (MSAT) experience in a commercial environment - Working knowledge of purification processes - Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: - Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, materials science or related discipline from an accredited institution - Track record of technical collaborations across internal and external organizations, professional technical conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications. - Experience in on-site and remote support to biopharmaceutical companies (start-ups to GKAs) for filter selection and sizing, process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up - Experience supporting the customer through FDA drug approval process in proteins, vaccines, and viral vectors in recombinant protein biopharmaceutical process - Experience in Virus filtration AND sterile filtration - Experience evaluating filtration steps to optimize key process parameters with a distinct focus on process economics modeling - Working knowledge of advanced modality processing such as gene and cell therapy - Working knowledge of protein purification processes - Experienced in analytic methods to characterize process fluids such as HPLC, ÄKTA , ELISA, PCR and DLS Work location: Remote Mexico City, Mexico Area Travel: To customer sites within Mexico. 60% Domestic and 10% international travel maybe included.

• Build the Secure Paved Road (Pipeline and Code): Deeply integrate GitHub Advanced Security into the CI/CD pipeline to act as automated checkpoints, providing fast feedback to engineers without manual intervention. • Collaborate with Engineering to develop and maintain secure microservice templates and libraries with embedded security controls. • Lead hardcoded secrets mitigation efforts by automating detection and building workflows to validate compromised credentials via API. • Drive cross functional initiatives to establish and continuously improve secure software development lifecycle practices across the organization. • Lead onboarding and operation of continuous penetration testing capabilities across web applications and services. • Participate in and help scale internal security assessments, penetration testing, and bug bounty programs. • Act as the AppSec technical expert for the Security Champions Program, guiding engineers on vulnerability remediation and secure coding practices. • Maintain strong knowledge of current security threats, vulnerabilities, and operational best practices, applying that knowledge to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.

• Embed security directly into the development pipeline through intelligent prompting and AI driven agents. • Collaborate with Engineering to develop and maintain secure microservice templates and libraries that have security controls built in from the start. • Implement controls to secure dependencies, build artifacts, and third party integrations. • Evaluate, configure, and implement AI agentic tooling to autonomously test our web applications for vulnerabilities. • Use agentic tooling to run proactive simulations based on emerging threats to validate our defenses in real time. • Drive adherence to vulnerability remediation SLAs by partnering with engineering teams to track, prioritize, and resolve security issues. • Design and implement technical guardrails for AI Coding Agents and Model Context Protocols (MCP) to ensure safe adoption of AI in the development lifecycle. • Help operationalize AI based tooling to act as a "GPS" for developers. • Partner with engineering to define and implement strategies for managing machine identities across AI systems. • Act as the AppSec technical expert for the Security Champions Program. • Assist in setting up "Just in Time" training campaigns that trigger micro-trainings when engineers introduce vulnerabilities. • Own the initial triage of incoming vulnerability tickets (SAST/SCA).

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs moderately complex software applications for enhancements and new products. • Performs coding, configuration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. • Develops and documents technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects. • Builds software enhancements through configuration and/or development to meet desired functionalities. • Performs unit testing on application enhancements prior to moving coding and configuration through the quality assurance process. • Develops and defines test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing. • Analyzes applications for compliance with security protocols. • Participates in incident management activities, including troubleshooting and performing after action reviews and tasks. • Contributes to peer reviews in cross-functional application development activities.
