Where is the work: Virtual What you will do:    - Provide subject matter expertise in thermal management system design for the data center and semiconductor ecosystem, while maintaining broad HVAC systems and product knowledge. - Build deep knowledge and understanding of equipment operation and limitations and apply this knowledge with a critical eye to system design, analysis, control and operation. - Develop thermal management systems using Trane or sourced equipment and controls including project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, creation of commercialization content and tools, and system validation. - Influence and provide deep technical support and analysis into system-level reference design strategy and execution, working in close cooperation with partners, customers and peers. - Evaluate complex, special, and advanced engineering problems working independently with minimal supervision. - Serve as subject matter expert on capabilities to improve existing systems and processes. - Collaborate with and influence product teams to achieve common objectives - May provide periodic routine to intensive technical guidance to less experienced professionals or technicians assigned to work on large projects. - Analyze system issues using appropriate modeling tools and techniques. What you will bring:  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university with a strong thermal/fluid energy and/or controls background. An MBA is beneficial but is not required. - A minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering work experience - Completion of the Trane Graduate Training Program is beneficial but is not required. - A Professional Engineering license is beneficial but is not required. - Ability to travel independently both domestically and internationally.
