Role Description As a 2nd/3rd Assistant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and operating maritime equipment, supporting daily operations that are critical to our client's success. This position is suited for individuals who thrive in challenging environments and are keen on contributing to major operations from remote settings, ensuring high standards of technical and operational efficiency are met consistently. - Monitor the operational status of marine engineering systems onboard vessels. - Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs on all engineering equipment. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedural requirements at all times. - Assist in the preparation and execution of equipment tests and commissioning procedures. - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise. - Prepare detailed reports on system performance and maintenance activities for upper management. - Participate in continuous training sessions to remain up to date with the latest technologies and operational practices. - Support the chief engineer in overseeing fuel transfers and maintaining environmental compliance. - Actively partake in emergency drills and real-life emergency situations maintaining composure and clarity. - Enforce and adhere to company policies regarding environmental protection and occupational safety. Qualifications - SafeGulf/Rigpass - TWIC Card - MMC with current dates - T-HUET (Tropical Huet for client) or BOSIET - Rigging cert (API-RP-2D standard) - USCG Physical - 3rd or 2nd Asst. Engineer-Unlimited rating with OICEW endorsement on License along with your Basic Safety Training and VPDSD. - Current USCG Medical Certificate with valid National and STCW dates. - Water Survival must be the T-HUET (Tropical Huet for client) or BOSIET. - USCG Physical & Drug screen current or will be taken upon qualification. - Flag State License and Seaman's Book current or ability to apply for documents.
