• Lead platform porting and BSP development for switch ASIC platforms • Integrate and validate ASIC drivers, optics/transceiver management, thermal/power management, and BMC/baseboard interfaces • Design platform abstractions and implementations to support both SONiC and FBOSS architectures • Design and implement control plane and data plane components for SONiC and FBOSS, ensuring seamless operation with underlying hardware • Develop and maintain platform services and daemons for hardware monitoring, configuration, and management • Collaborate with SAI/SDK team to integrate switch abstraction layer with SONiC and FBOSS architectures • Build and maintain test frameworks, automation, and CI/CD pipelines for NOS platform validation • Profile and optimize NOS performance for latency, throughput, and resource utilization • Engage with the SONiC and FBOSS open-source communities, contribute improvements where applicable • Work closely with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to resolve integration issues and define platform requirements • Leverage AI coding assistants and emerging tooling to accelerate development velocity and code quality

Overview The Platform Engineer designs, supports, and evolves complex technical solutions that underpin customer-facing products and critical internal systems. This role focuses on stability, scalability, and innovation, acting as a technical problem-solver, solution designer, and escalation partner across teams. Requirements - 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform-focused roles - Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience - Advanced experience administering and supporting server operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS, or a combination) - Strong background in identity management, directory services, and authentication systems - Experience supporting database platforms and high-availability or fault-tolerant architectures - Proficiency in scripting and automation for systems management (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) - Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, operating systems, and infrastructure layers - Experience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent) - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar) - Previous experience with large scale virtualization platforms (VMware,Openstack,Nutanix, etc.) - Proven ability to balance customer needs with operational stability and best practices - Ability to work independently on project-based work while collaborating effectively across teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly Preferred Qualifications - Relevant technical certifications (e.g., systems, cloud, or platform-focused) - Demonstrated experience in managing NetApp ONTAP clusters (or similar network based storage solution) with deep knowledge of data protection workflows and performance tuning for high-throughput workloads. - Knowledge and experience working with Nutanix, including setup and deployment of enterprise scale clusters and workloads. - Proven track record of architecting and maintaining large-scale VMware vSphere environments, including vSAN, NSX, and advanced resource management across multiple data centers. - Success in executing large-scale data and VM migrations (e.g., vMotion, Storage vMotion, or cross-platform transitions) with minimal downtime to the business.
