Overview The Platform Engineer designs, supports, and evolves complex technical solutions that underpin customer-facing products and critical internal systems. This role focuses on stability, scalability, and innovation, acting as a technical problem-solver, solution designer, and escalation partner across teams. This position delivers value by reducing incident impact, improving system reliability, enabling customer success, and ensuring the organization’s engineered solutions are secure, compliant, and future-ready. Requirements - 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform-focused roles - Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience - Advanced experience administering and supporting server operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS, or a combination) - Strong background in identity management, directory services, and authentication systems - Experience supporting database platforms and high-availability or fault-tolerant architectures - Proficiency in scripting and automation for systems management (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) - Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, operating systems, and infrastructure layers - Experience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent) - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar) - Previous experience with large scale virtualization platforms (VMware,Openstack,Nutanix, etc.) - Proven ability to balance customer needs with operational stability and best practices - Ability to work independently on project-based work while collaborating effectively across teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly Preferred Qualifications - Relevant technical certifications (e.g., systems, cloud, or platform-focused) - Demonstrated experience in managing NetApp ONTAP clusters (or similar network based storage solution) with deep knowledge of data protection workflows and performance tuning for high-throughput workloads. - Knowledge and experience working with Nutanix, including setup and deployment of enterprise scale clusters and workloads. - Proven track record of architecting and maintaining large-scale VMware vSphere environments, including vSAN, NSX, and advanced resource management across multiple data centers. - Success in executing large-scale data and VM migrations (e.g., vMotion, Storage vMotion, or cross-platform transitions) with minimal downtime to the business.
