Job Description

Product Manager

VC Lab

• Own a product surface from discovery to launch. Define the problem, write the spec, drive alignment, oversee delivery, and follow up after launch to make sure it worked. You're accountable for outcomes, not just outputs. • Write specs that engineers love. Functional requirements, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and open questions — all resolved before a ticket hits the sprint. You respect engineering time by doing your homework. • Stay close to Decile Group customers. Shadow calls, run user interviews, read support tickets, and synthesize what you learn into clear, actionable insights. Be the voice of the customer without losing sight of business priorities. • Use AI to be a better PM. Leverage AI for discovery synthesis, competitive research, spec drafting, user segmentation, and anywhere else it sharpens your thinking or speeds up your work. • Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap. Work with stakeholders across Decile Group to sequence what gets built and why. Communicate timelines, risks, and tradeoffs proactively. • Partner across Decile Group teams. Work closely with engineering, ops, legal ops, and customer success. Bring clarity and structure to cross-functional workflows and keep everyone aligned.

Job Requirements

  • 4–7 years in SaaS product management or technical project ownership
  • A track record of shipping complex features end-to-end
  • Exceptional written clarity — your specs, tickets, and Slack messages are models of structured thinking
  • Technical fluency — you understand how web applications are built and can have real conversations with engineers
  • Active, sophisticated use of AI tools in your daily workflow
  • Experience building user-centered flows for operational, financial, or workflow-heavy products
  • Strong prioritization instincts — you can distinguish urgent from important and hold the line on scope

Our Company The workplace has undergone a complete transformation. Historically, occupancy was consistent; everyone worked in the office five days per week. But in today’s world, occupancy is inconsistent, unpredictable, and dynamic, as work has become more flexible than ever before. To make decisions with confidence, workplace, CRE, and facilities management leaders need a true understanding of how and when their spaces are used. VergeSense is the company behind the world’s first and only Occupancy Intelligence Platform. Over 220 companies across 50 countries and 140M sqft rely on occupancy intelligence to make confident, fact-based optimization decisions to improve employee experience and decrease costs. VergeSense customers use our Occupancy Intelligence Platform, which is built on a foundation of the industry's most accurate occupancy sensors and other data sources, to right-size their portfolio, validate space planning and designs, optimize cleaning operations, and ensure their teams can always find spaces to work. The Opportunity Every large company makes high-stakes decisions about their physical workplaces: which floors to consolidate, how to redesign space after a reorg, when to trigger a restack before the problem becomes urgent. Today, those decisions are made slowly, manually, and often too late. CRE teams pull data from multiple disconnected systems, build scenarios in spreadsheets, and deliver recommendations that are already stale. VergeSense is changing that. We are the industry leader in workplace intelligence, with a sensor platform covering millions of square feet across Fortune 2000 enterprises. Our Large Spatial Model is trained on billions of data points and years of behavioral data, giving us an understanding of how people actually use space that no one else has. Our Predictive Planning product turns that intelligence into decisions, compressing multi-step manual planning and operational workflows into AI-assisted experiences for corporate real estate teams. We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own one of these workflows end-to-end. The PM who thrives here is someone drawn to the full problem space: how enterprises make decisions about physical space, where AI can replace broken manual processes, and what it takes to build trust in AI-generated recommendations at the enterprise level. What You Will Do - Own a planning or operational workflow end-to-end: vision, customer discovery, roadmap, engineering partnership, and commercial outcome. - Define where AI stops and the human decision starts. Our agents are goal-seeking systems that detect planning triggers, assemble data, and generate scenarios. You will set the automation boundaries and design the human review experience. - Build products that work with messy enterprise data. HRIS feeds, badge systems, lease records, and occupancy sensors all tell part of the story. You will design for the reality that clean data is the exception. - Ship the first version within your first two quarters. This is a hands-on building role with real commercial pressure and named enterprise accounts waiting for the product. You will be in the tool daily, not managing from a distance. - Partner closely with the existing product team. You will work alongside a strong GTM-oriented PM and a design leader who together own adjacent workflows. What This Role Requires - 6+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with demonstrated experience owning data-intensive or analytics products. - You have taken a complex, multi-step manual workflow and shipped a product that meaningfully automated it. This is the single most important signal we are looking for. - Experience building products that involve data from multiple enterprise systems. You understand that clean data is the exception and you design for the failure modes. - Demonstrated ability to own a product domain end-to-end: vision, discovery, roadmap, engineering partnership, and commercial outcome. - Quantitative fluency. You define success metrics before building. You can evaluate model outputs, catch wrong answers, and translate data quality problems into product decisions. - Executive communication quality. You lead with the recommendation. You have presented to C-suite or board-level audiences. You produce tight decision documents, not exploratory overviews. - Experience with prioritization under commercial pressure. You know how to sequence a roadmap against named deals and pipeline value, not just user needs. $150,000 - $204,000 a year Compensation is determined based on many factors, including experience level and geographical location, in alignment with VergeSense's Compensation and Philosophy. Part of the total compensation is based on a bonus structure. Compensation also includes company equity. Benefits • A high-impact role in an emerging industry leader • Competitive compensation and equity • Employer-sponsored medical • Dental and vision insurance (dependent on location) • Open Vacation policy: take time off when you need it We value people from all walks of life who exhibit kindness, curiosity, discipline, humility, and passion to excel at what they do. If you would like to contribute to our team, we encourage you to apply.

Hiring E-commerce Product Manager Ready for a Real Product Challenge Bored with incremental improvements to PDPs, catalogs, and search but still in love with the potential impact of ecomm tech? Come talk to us. We’re looking for hungry PMs who have experience guiding site visitors through checkout and want to apply that skill to a next-level challenge. Fresh Prints is the largest collegiate custom apparel company in the US, which means the “product” we sell is an infinite set of permutations across: Design + Garment + Print Method. To make things even harder, when a customer creates one of those permutations, we have to actually physically produce it, which means our ecomm tech must also apply all appropriate constraints. We’ve built and released a design tool, website, management portal, and checkout experience in house to allow for that, but we have a ways to go to scale it well. So you’ll answer questions like: - How do we offer our customers the optionality their creativity demands without overwhelming them with too many decisions? - Which parts of the journey are too complicated? - How do we make complex tradeoffs feel intuitive? - How do we design flows that adapt as constraints change downstream? - Where should we hard-block vs soft-guide vs warn? Some solutions will demand changes to our customer-facing tech, others will require better data structures, and many will leverage gen AI and the MCP endpoints we’ve developed. You’ll be expected to lead on Product for all of that and everything in between. You’ll own the customer-facing e-commerce and design experience end-to-end. That includes: - The product selection and configuration flows - The design tool and its constraints - The logic that determines what is possible, recommended, or blocked - The feedback customers get when they make a choice - The tradeoffs between flexibility, usability, and operational reality APPLY IF YOU BELIEVE - Great products come from sharp judgment, not process theater, but strong execution is all about process discipline - The best teams optimize for learning speed and business impact, not org charts or titles - Product is a team sport that requires deep collaboration, technical curiosity, and low ego - AI will fundamentally change how products are discovered, built, and scaled - Great leaders set an uncompromising bar for quality - Product managers shouldn’t be gatekeepers, but force multipliers, using judgment, taste, and context to unlock speed across the org RESPONSIBILITIES Execution & Delivery Leadership - Collaborate actively with our Product Designers and Engineers - Own the executional rhythm for your product area, ensuring work moves from idea to shipped without unnecessary drag - Partner with engineering leadership to plan sprints and milestones grounded in real tradeoffs, not wishful timelines - Break complex, systems-heavy work into executable slices that deliver value incrementally - Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog that reflects customer impact, technical reality, and business goals - Actively manage scope, sequencing, and dependencies to keep teams moving fast without sacrificing quality - Ensure teams leave sprint planning with shared understanding and confidence, not ambiguity - Surface risks early - especially where constraints or edge cases could derail delivery downstream - Adjust plans quickly as new information emerges, without thrash or loss of momentum E-Commerce Product Ownership - Own the vision and execution of our customer-facing e-commerce experiences - Work with our Product Design team to create flows that guide customers through complex, multi-step decisions - Balance choice, clarity, and constraint to maximize successful outcomes Systems & Constraint Design - Partner with engineering to model product rules, dependencies, and limitations - Define how constraints surface in the UI (block, warn, suggest, auto-adjust) - Ensure edge cases are handled intentionally, not accidentally - Design scalable and flexible tech that empowers our Ops and Marketing team to keep innovating on our product offering rapidly Customer & Business Outcomes - Use data and customer feedback to continuously refine decision flows - Lead successful launch and implementation plans so that the tech has the impact it needs to have WHO YOU’LL BUILD WITH - 25 Engineers (including QA) - 5 Product People - 4 Product Designers The team is young, sharp, and lean. REQUIREMENTS - Up to 4 years of product management experience in fast-moving, product-led organizations - Strong technical fluency - you can reason about systems, APIs, and architecture even if you don’t implement them - Deep curiosity about AI and how it changes product discovery, delivery, and scale - Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and turn it into momentum - Experience working closely with engineering leaders as true peers - High standards, strong judgment, and a bias toward action - High ownership and a genuine love of building great products Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary - Health insurance - The opportunity to learn a lot rapidly - Working with a talented and engaged team dedicated to building a business together. - At Fresh Prints, we deeply value the long-term contributions of our team. To recognize and celebrate that commitment, we offer a 2-month paid Sabbatical to eligible employees. Fresh Prints is an equal employment opportunity employer and promotes diversity, actively encouraging people of all backgrounds, ages, LGBTQ+, and those with disabilities to apply.
