Job Summary and Responsibilities *** Epic Professional Billing certification and/or experience required.*** As an IT EPIC Application Analyst, you will implement, optimize, and support our EPIC EHR system, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with clinical workflows.Every day you will analyze requirements, configure EPIC modules, perform testing, provide training and support, and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with clinical staff.To be successful, you will possess deep EPIC module expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to healthcare technology. - Designs, builds, tests, implements, and supports information technology solutions to meet operational and clinical needs. - Responsible for delivering project assignments of medium to high complexity which includes application design, and configuration build. Works closely with customers to document requirements and communicate effectively with customers and peers to implement changes. - Supports/maintains day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications. - Performs intermediate system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications, and to analyze/research vendor release notes and documentation; understanding complete end-to-end system integration. - Creates thorough system design and build documentation. Analyze the functionality of the system and how it fits or not with operations; The ability to troubleshoot basic problems and recommend and take appropriate action as required. Translate high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation. - Collaborates with other analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership. Meet with department heads and executives on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs. Job Requirements Required - Bachelors Other in a related field or 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree, upon hire. - 2 years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Clinical, operational, application support and implementation. - Epic Professional Billing certification and/or experience required. - Development experience with applications in a hospital or medical related industry is required. - Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies is required. - EPIC Certification, within 120 Days

Preferred - Education Some college Job Duties May perform some or all of the following duties: - Answer all incoming patient/client calls. - Take credit card payments over the telephone and posts to patient's accounts. - Set up monthly payment plans on patient accounts. - Add or correct insurance registration and files claims accordingly. - Update demographics to include address and telephone numbers based on patient's telephone calls. - Document all actions taken on accounts in the system account notes to ensure all prior actions are noted and understandable by others. - Review accounts to resolve discrepancies in account balances and ensure payments are in accordance with the respective contract, appropriate discounts or applicable write-off completed. Including posting any undistributed credits while talking to the patient. - Transfer call and/or account to Patient Financial Advocate to resolve complex account issues and escalated patient calls. - Attend seminars, webinars, workshops, and actively participates in Occupational Training and Development and Compliance educational activities. - Maintain knowledge of all university applicable rules, regulations, policies, guidelines that impact Billing Operations; seeks advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding of job functions. - Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: (a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; (b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; (c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or (d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
