Experience • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred) • 1 or more years of experience leading an AI-driven product (Preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities • This job does not have supervisory duties. We exist to ignite lifelong learning passions through personalized, engaging, and limitless learning experiences for all, giving L&D pros and educators more time to teach and train, building human connection into everything we do, and delivering tailored learning experiences that are meaningful and measurable. We are a fast-growing company with a passion for education and technology.

Role Description As Technical Product Owner at CYPHER Learning, you will serve as the connective layer between product strategy and engineering execution, ensuring that what we build is clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned to business impact. You will own the “what” and “why” by translating product vision and stakeholder needs into well-structured, actionable requirements that drive efficient and predictable delivery. You will partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to refine and prioritize work, balancing new feature development with technical debt. This role requires strong technical acumen and judgment, enabling you to challenge assumptions, anticipate dependencies, and ensure solutions are both practical and forward-looking. While your primary focus is on defining outcomes and enabling execution, you will also support delivery execution by facilitating key agile workflows and helping remove blockers, ensuring teams operate with clarity, accountability, and sustained momentum. This includes applying agile practices in a pragmatic way that prioritizes outcomes over ceremony. Your ability to write precise acceptance criteria and manage competing priorities will directly impact the speed, quality, and reliability of our product delivery. What You Will Do - Translate product strategy and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories, technically viable solutions, and precise, testable acceptance criteria with a clear definition of “done.” - Partner closely with Engineering to establish architectural strategy and technical trade-offs. - Prioritize and sequence work based on business value, customer impact, technical feasibility, and platform health, balancing feature delivery with technical debt and defect resolution. - Ensure alignment between product intent and engineering execution by clearly communicating priorities, context, and expected outcomes to the development team. - Partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate tradeoffs, anticipate dependencies, and drive informed prioritization decisions. - Identify and proactively address risks, dependencies, and blockers that may impact delivery timelines or product outcomes. - Provide clear visibility into progress, priorities, and delivery expectations using practical, outcome-focused metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, delivery predictability). - Support coordination across teams working toward shared initiatives, ensuring alignment on priorities, sequencing, and dependencies. - Facilitate key agile workflows (e.g., refinement, sprint planning, standups) as needed to maintain delivery momentum and team alignment, without over-indexing on ceremony. - Reinforce a high-performing, agile environment by promoting clarity, accountability, and disciplined execution, using process as a tool to improve outcomes rather than an end in itself. - Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, helping teams operate efficiently while minimizing unnecessary process overhead. - All other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience required. - 5–8+ years of experience operating in agile product environments, with demonstrated ownership of requirement building and delivery outcomes required. - Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage in discussions on system architecture, APIs, data structures, and integrations (including AI-driven capabilities), enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams required. - Proven ability to translate product strategy and stakeholder needs into well-defined user stories and precise, testable acceptance criteria that drive efficient execution and high-quality delivery required. - Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders) to align priorities, clarify requirements, and drive execution. - Proficiency with agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar), with the ability to structure and manage work in a way that supports transparency and efficiency required. - Experience supporting agile execution (e.g., facilitating key workflows, coordinating delivery) is preferred. - Strong problem-solving and judgment, with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and drive clear, actionable decisions that support delivery and business outcomes. - Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments, adapting priorities, managing tradeoffs, and maintaining momentum across evolving requirements and constraints. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear priorities, requirements, and decisions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Product-minded and naturally curious, with a focus on continuous improvement, evolving technologies, and delivering better outcomes for customers and the business. - Experience in SaaS, Learning & Development (L&D), EdTech, or corporate training environments is a plus. Our Values - Curiosity: Continues learning to stay agile and innovative. - Connection: Embracing and celebrating our differences. - Empowerment: Rewarding positive people-centric behaviors and decisions. - Potential: Challenging the status quo and pushing for what is possible. - Impact: Making a positive impact for our clients and communities around the world.
