Overview The Intern Business Analyst will assist in working on new ideas to bring innovation to our process improvement activities, especially documenting business needs and requirements. Will focus primarily on innovative ideas submitted by stakeholders. Candidates should have a deep interest in defining applications that will deliver business value using available low-code technologies. We are looking for skills in data definition, SQL queries, using Office applications and writing Excel formulas. They will also liaise with engineering professionals and business subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet the defined business needs. In addition, they will support activities related to user acceptance testing for the above. Responsibilities - Work closely with business partners to understand and document their processes and how current and future solutions may improve productivity and quality. - Learn and understand how to use low-code technology to solve business needs and even develop occasional solutions as opportunities arise that align with their abilities. - Conduct analysis to determine the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, and user training. - Apply and utilize business process modeling methods to ensure business outcome-based deliverables in a way that can be readily used as input to Product Delivery teams and executive decision-making by both line of business and IT partners. - Define measurable process improvement objectives and participate in grooming features sessions. - Ensure product satisfies the customer/end-user requirements by actively representing the business users in product testing and evaluation. - Work with training development to ensure end-user training is defined and scheduled. - Develop business use cases. - Complete ad hoc research and projects as assigned. - Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. - Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. - Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications - Student working towards a bachelors degree with a major or minor in a technical area, such as information systems, and expected graduation this year. - Healthcare Systems and Operations course work preferred. - Strong relationship-building skills and customer orientation. Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to define needs, address issues and answer questions. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint). - Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. - Must have the ability to interact with business users in a sensitive and diplomatic manner, while challenging existing procedures and building collaboration on project goals. - Ability to translate business needs into product features. - Consistent and effective critical thinking skills required. - Strict attention to detail in actions and documentation. - Works with a sense of urgency. - Strong organizational skills (including a commitment to thorough documentation of results). - Strong written and verbal communication skills in person as well as with remote and international resources. - Professional demeanor with ability to use appropriate language, tone, style and structure in oral and written communications. - Positive and helpful demeanor in interactions with all internal/external stakeholders. - Active listening skills. - Highly skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing and meeting deadlines. - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all communications involving sensitive information. - Must be driven and a self-starter. - Must be flexible and willing to adapt to an ever-changing environment. - Ability to work within a matrix organization. Base compensation ranges from $21.00 to 25.00 per hour. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law Since this job will be based remotely, all interviews will be conducted virtually.
