• Meet or exceed assigned yearly sales goal • Use of consultative and negotiating selling skills to uncover and close opportunities to advance sales • Maintain strong level of digital and print product knowledge • Develop, maintain, and keep current all account records in CRM system, including documentation and maintenance of opportunities and documentation of communication with customers • Deliver in-person or WebEx orientation sessions to EC’s key customers at the beginning of a semester • Assist eLearning Specialist in the Digital Publishing department with customer/instructor training and stimulation of usage of digital products for EC’s customers • Report on market conditions, trends, and opportunities in the competitive environment • Monitor and manage territory expenses, including comp copy distribution to ensure compliance with forecasted budget • Complete special projects as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager
Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and productively with a positive attitude and minimal day-to-day supervision
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, persistent, and able to prioritize tasks
- Proven ability to develop rapport, understand customer needs/pain points, overcome objections, and persuade (in order to be able to successfully execute a consultative selling approach)
- Highly developed verbal, written, and phone-based communication skills
- Proven ability to conduct effective webinars.
- Experience hosting webinars and new product demonstrations over the phone, using established conference call/webinar technologies such as WebEx, GoToMeeting, Join.Me, etc.
- Experience selling digital, online products, and print products to higher education (health science) customers preferred
