Responsibilities In this impactful role, you will oversee and prioritize work queues for overdue and expiring patient orders and test results, manage patient communications, and process Regional Medication Prior Authorizations with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with clinic teams to ensure timely follow-up and seamless coordination of patient care tasks. This is primarily a remote position, offering flexibility while making a meaningful difference in clinical operations. Workspace at a designated UnityPoint location may be available upon request, based on space availability. - Demonstrate clinical competency in assigned duties - Manage Epic In Basket workflows, including results, orders, and patient messages - Complete delegated tasks within scope of licensure, certification, and competency - Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) as appropriate - Provide accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) - Document patient and facility communications when managing task buckets - Provide patient and family education as directed by provider - Interpret lab and procedure results within scope and take appropriate next steps - Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies Qualifications Education: - High School Diploma/GED required Experience: - At least one (1) year of computer data entry experience required. - One (1)+ year of experience in clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
