You'll own the visual design language of the Xolo platform and contribute directly to the UI stack — building the components you design, keeping design in sync between Figma and code, and caring about how things feel in the browser. You'll work across discovery and delivery, from understanding customer problems to shipping polished, production-ready UI. If you get satisfaction from both a perfectly balanced layout and digging into UI libraries and code, this is your role with lots of empowerment to drive impact. ✍️ As a Product Design Engineer at Xolo, you will: - Own and evolve Xolo's visual design system — typography, colour, spacing, iconography, and component states — ensuring consistency across the entire product surface. - Lead product initiatives end-to-end, from hypothesis and research through concept, validation, and implementation. - Translate customer insights into intuitive UX and interaction design solutions that are both functional and visually refined. - Contribute directly to the UI codebase — building reusable, well-structured components in HTML, CSS, JS (React or other) and keeping design synchronised between Figma and the frontend. - Define interaction patterns and micro-animations that give the Xolo experience its character. - Maintain and document the design system in Figma (components, variables, auto-layout) and in code (Storybook or equivalent). - Clearly explain and justify your design decisions to product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders

Job DescriptionBe involved in the product development activities from the conceptual stage to mass production, including: - Preparing new products concept design that meets customer requirements & expectations, de‐sign, process & safety guidelines - Using 3D modeling & surfacing CAD software to design new products - Interpreting & generating 2D drawings per mechanical drafting standard - Performing mechanical tolerance analysis and DFMEA - Setting up & maintaining bill of materials - Supporting prototype/pilot builds - Performing mechanical verifi cation tests per products specifi cations and writing test reports - Releasing mechanical prints & parts qualifi cation reports - Compiling information for user manuals and/or instruction sheets -Solid understanding of energy product (cell, battery, power supply & charger) safety, and apply it into the design and assembly process. Basic RequirementsAt least a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines. - Minimum of 8 years working experience in related field. - Good in analytical & problem-solving skills. - Good knowledge of material properties (sheet metal and plastic). - Able to work as an individual as well as a good team player. - Able to communicate & present the conceptual ideas to the technical audiences. - Familiar with assembly process such as SMT, plastic ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, low pressure molding etc. - Knowledge of battery, power supply and charger design will be an added advantage. - Knowledge of Creo Parametric 3D software & plastic tooling constructions will be an added advantage. • Create site layouts and civil land development design sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for utility-scale and commercial renewable energy projects. • Work on or lead small projects or portions of larger projects with guidance from senior staff. • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering procedures, techniques, and criteria to assigned tasks. • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and supporting technical documentation. • Formulate and solve engineering problems related to grading, drainage, access roads, and site constraints. • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes. • Acquire and apply working knowledge of renewable energy project layouts and components. • Collaboratively use judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments. • Receive direction on unconventional or complex problems and a thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment. • Support project teams and limited client interaction under the direction of senior staff. • Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments. • Coordinate assigned tasks with discipline team members to meet project schedules and deliverables. • Coordinate with designers and junior engineers to complete assigned tasks. • Participate in mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the discipline team. • Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams including structural, electrical, environmental, and project management staff.
