The position combines managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise. Duties and Responsibilities: - Defines and oversees training plans for technical staff development. - Provides oversight of design, development, unit testing and installation activities for enhancement, upgrade and maintenance updates for applications supported by the Enterprise Document Solutions team. This includes composition and report archive systems. - Identifies, manages and enforces functional policies, procedures and quality assurance best practices for the team. - Completes Responsible Technology Manager (RTM) activities, including but not limited to user access reviews, business continuity and technology recovery plans, NUID management, license management, and third-party risk assessments. - Maintains currency of CMDB documentation and SLA reporting for all EDS supported applications. - Manages incident, problem, and change management activities. - Ensures EDS application vulnerabilities are addressed timely. - Maintains on call schedules and is readily available for escalation and troubleshooting support. - Evaluates deliverables/project status and recommends changes to improve delivery efficiency to ensure the team meets deadlines and budgets while delivering high quality output. - Works with application vendors and business partners to outline support model. - Participates and provides input during agile ceremonies. - Coaches team on agile practices and continual improvement. - Develops technology roadmaps. - Performs other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience - 7+ years related experience working with mainframe and/or distributed systems, or relevant technical environment. - 3+ years of working as team lead, development lead, app manager, team manager, or relevant experience (i.e. SCRUM Master, etc) Preferred qualifications - Self-motivated and change oriented. - Experience in developing technology roadmaps in concert with business and architecture partners. - Experience with managing multiple vendor relationships. - Ability to concisely communicate concepts verbally, in writing or via technical documentation. - Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to quickly adapt to changes in priority. - Experience working with COBOL, Exstream (Batch PDF, On-Demand PDF and responsive HTML, Application Consolidator, Content Manager, Communication Server), Java, GIT, Jenkins, Zena, .NET, MQ, DataStage, DB2, CA-Doc View, SAR and Mobius. - Experience in managing a team with varying levels of technical expertise that are geographically dispersed. - Experience with agile delivery.
