Rowe Price, Visa, Mastercard, Robinhood Ventures, Sequoia, Salesforce Ventures, DST Global, and Lone Pine Capital, Airwallex is leading the charge in building the global payments and financial platform of the future. If you're ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us. Attributes We Value We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you're motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor. You're humble and collaborative; turn zero-to-one ideas into real products, and you "get stuff done" end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you'll tackle complex, high-visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let's build what's next. About the team Airwallex aspires to partner with the most ambitious businesses globally. The SME & Growth sales team is where this partnership begins. Your primary focus will be bringing on new customers within South Korea's trading and distribution ecosystem-authorized distributors, trading houses, and channel partners-and leveraging your skills in pitching, negotiating, and driving internal processes to set up our partnerships for success. We are looking for someone who has a passion for building relationships, selling, and negotiating, and a desire to revolutionise the way companies transact globally. If you have a customer-first mentality, are solution-focused, obsessively curious about everything, and have the desire to make an impact and grow yourself, our market, and our customers, then you have found your calling. With the commission structure for this role, there is a significant upside for won opportunities. If you're hungry, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities - Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition across distributors and trading firms in South Korea. - Own the full sales cycle and territory management from prospecting to close, focusing on distributors. - Build and manage a high-quality pipeline through targeted outbound, referrals, and industry events within Korea's trading or distribution ecosystem. - Deliver consultative solution selling that addresses sector-specific needs, including cross-border payments, FX exposure management, multi-currency accounts, receivables/payables, and reconciliation to drive measurable outcomes. - Identify, map, and influence multiple decision-makers and stakeholders (e.g., managing directors, finance leaders, treasury, operations, procurement, and compliance) to advance complex opportunities. - Lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements and multi-product solutions aligned with distributor pricing models, credit terms, and margin structures. - Ensure the best customer experience and onboarding process for new customers, and own the initial customer ramp-up period through successful go-live. - Represent Airwallex at client meetings and industry events to deepen relationships and brand presence within South Korea's trading and distribution space. - Maintain a database of current and potential customers using our CRM system along with meticulous CRM usage and forecasting. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, risk, compliance, and support to remove friction and accelerate customer outcomes across high-volume, cross-border trading corridors. - You are success-oriented and hold yourself accountable for delivering key outcomes. - You consistently "go the extra mile" in your work and are willing to do what needs to be done to achieve results. Requirements - 4+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical or financial product, with a track record of top performance in business development and outbound sales. - Strong inside and outbound sales experience with demonstrated success winning customers in trading and distribution within South Korea. - Excellent presentation, communication, and solution-selling skills tailored to distributor-specific needs; experience identifying and influencing multiple key decision-makers and stakeholders across finance, treasury, operations, procurement, and compliance. - Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements and multi-product sales, progressing opportunities through multi-stage sales cycles, including FX pricing, multi-currency settlement terms, and risk considerations. - Strong analytical skills and an organized, data-driven way of working, including pipeline management and forecasting. - Superior verbal and written communication skills in Korean and English. - Familiarity with Korea's cross-border trading corridors (e.g., KRW-USD/CNY/JPY/EUR) and a customer-first approach to solving payments, collections, payouts, and treasury challenges. #Seoul Applicant Safety Policy: Fraud and Third-Party Recruiters To protect you from recruitment scams, please be aware that Airwallex will not ask for bank details, sensitive ID numbers (i.e. passport), or any form of payment during the application or interview process.
