Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior software engineering experience, including 1+ years in an engineering management role
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals—distributed systems, security best practices, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
  • Excellent communication skills—able to align stakeholders, represent the team's needs, and communicate trade-offs clearly
  • Hands-on familiarity with agile workflows, release management, and on-call/incident response processes
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or Bitcoin/blockchain ecosystems is a plus
  • Experience in regulated financial services (KYC/AML, banking, or payments) is desirable
  • Contributions to open source projects, ideally in the Bitcoin or financial software ecosystem is a plus

BizOps Tech is one of the most critical teams at Babylist. You will own the AI-powered systems behind three of our most operationally complex domains: Customer Service, Merchandising, and Health. That means automating the CS workflows that drain your team’s time, so human agents can focus on moments that require real empathy and judgment. And it means building the intelligence layer behind Babylist Health—understanding insurance eligibility, routing the right information to the right payers, and getting Babylist paid accurately and on time. This is not incremental improvement. This is a fundamental rewrite of how the business operates. You will partner directly with executive leadership and own both the technology and process changes required to make AI agents work in production.
