As a leading developer and supplier in the global automation market, Pepperl+Fuchs is seeking a driven Account Manager to support and grow our Factory and Process Automation business in Southern California area. This role offers the opportunity to manage and expand existing accounts, develop new business, and introduce cutting-edge products and custom engineering solutions across a wide range of industries. The Account Manager is responsible for overall account management and revenue growth within an assigned territory. This includes developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering innovative automation solutions. - Grow existing accounts and develop new business within the assigned territory - Conduct sales calls and deliver technical presentations to target customers - Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions - Support customers with quotations, pricing, order coordination, and technical assistance - Collaborate with internal teams to expedite orders and ensure on-time delivery - Provide product updates, training, and ongoing account support - Maintain accurate sales activity, manage accounts, and track pipeline in CRM - Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders - Stay current on new products and industry developments - Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent technical sales experience - 5+ years of experience selling complex technical solutions; industrial or automation sales strongly preferred - Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets - Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management - Familiarity with modern sales techniques and territory management - Experience in markets such as OEM, automotive, material handling, IIoT/Industry 4.0, packaging, mobile equipment, or semiconductor/electronics - Willingness to travel up to 50% - Motivated to learn, grow, and continuously develop Requirements - Location: Southern California - Territory: Bakersfield south and Arizona - Type: Full Time - Schedule: Remote - Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000 Benefits - Medical - Dental - Vision - 401k - Voluntary life Insurance - Employer paid basic life insurance - Short-term disability - Long-term disability - PTO
