Access & Reimbursement Director – Great Lakes
BridgeBio Pharma
• Serve as a regional subject matter expert on reimbursement and access for BridgeBio therapies • Educate healthcare provider offices on reimbursement processes, including benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, and coverage pathways • Identify and compliantly address access barriers within commercial and government payer environments • Support integration of access processes into provider office workflows • Provide compliant education on BridgeBio patient support programs and services • Share payer policy trends and field insights with Market Access leadership to inform strategy • Provide access and affordability education to consented patients and care partners in alignment with compliance and privacy regulations • Support understanding of reimbursement processes and available patient support resources • Coordinate, as appropriate, among hubs, specialty pharmacies, prescriber offices, and support programs to facilitate continuity of access • Assist in identifying and escalating access-related challenges impacting the patient journey • Support onboarding and ongoing engagement of consented patients within BridgeBio patient support programs in accordance with program rules • Act as a senior field partner to Market Access, Patient Services, Compliance, Legal, Medical, Commercial, and Sales teams • Provide compliant, de-identified field insights regarding access trends, barriers, and process gaps • Contribute to the development and refinement of access strategies, tools, and field materials • Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving patient access pathways • Serve as a mentor and resource to field access colleagues where appropriate • Operate in strict adherence to all company policies and applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OIG guidance • Provide patient-facing support in a hybrid setting while operating in strict adherence to company policies and all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OIG requirements • Ensure all interactions with patients, providers, and stakeholders are compliant, non-promotional, and within scope • Properly handle protected health information (PHI) in accordance with company policy • Manage complex and escalated access and reimbursement challenges • Influence access strategy through field-based insights and cross-functional collaboration
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, with significant experience in reimbursement, market access, patient services, or rare disease
- Deep understanding of U.S. payer systems, including commercial and government coverage pathways
- Experience navigating specialty pharmacy and hub models
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements related to patient support and access services
- Ability to work independently in a field-based, cross-functional environment.
