Staffing for Doctors

Our client is seeking a proactive and confident Virtual Medical Receptionist / Medical Administrative Assistant to support both the Pediatrics and Urgent Care departments. This role is heavily focused on managing high-volume inbound and outbound calls, with a strong emphasis on outbound patient outreach to schedule appointments, confirm visits, and re-engage patients who have missed appointments. The ideal candidate is highly comfortable on the phone, communicates with professionalism and empathy, and demonstrates persistence in patient follow-up. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred to support the diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities - Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls. - Conduct outbound outreach to schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. - Follow up with missed appointments and re-engage patients. - Provide clear, professional communication with patients. - Update patient information and confirm upcoming visits. - Coordinate with internal staff to support efficient patient flow. - Follow scheduling protocols and help fill gaps in the calendar.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a front desk, patient coordination, or similar role within a U.S. healthcare setting, preferably in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with IMS EMR and RingCentral or similar VOIP systems preferred.
  • Comfortable with frequent outbound calls and proactive patient follow-up.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with consistent attendance.
  • Please note this is a full-time contractor role (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7–$8 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
