Senior Market Development Manager
CarbonCure Technologies
• Identify, develop, and advance new business opportunities by embedding CarbonCure technologies into major infrastructure and commercial projects. • Partner with commercial leaders within DOTs, contractors, and owners to align CarbonCure with project and program-level objectives. • Convert early-stage project influence into repeatable, scalable commercial adoption, supporting long-term revenue growth. • Support the Sales team by developing qualified demand pipelines and enabling deal acceleration through early-stage engagement. • Lead engagement and submittals with Departments of Transportation (DOTs). • Expand the number of jurisdictions approving or standardizing CarbonCure. • Navigate and influence procurement, funding, and commercialization pathways within DOTs. • Represent CarbonCure as a trusted advisor with regulators, agencies, and policymakers. • Influence architects, engineers, and specifiers to incorporate CarbonCure into project specifications and design standards. • Build upstream demand with owners, developers, and infrastructure program leaders. • Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across the construction ecosystem. • Partner closely with Sales to convert market development activities into closed business and long-term partnerships. • Provide market intelligence and feedback to support product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, construction, construction materials, or related industries.
- Background in business development, commercial leadership, or market development, with a demonstrated ability to generate and advance opportunities.
- Experience working with or alongside: Departments of Transportation (DOTs) (technical and commercial stakeholders)
- Large construction firms
- Admixture, cement, or construction materials companies
- Proven ability to build relationships with commercial decision-makers, project sponsors, and program leaders in infrastructure and construction.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, procurement processes, and specification development.
- Demonstrated success influencing specifications, standards, or owner requirements and translating these into measurable business outcomes.
- Technical fluency to engage in discussions around materials, performance, standards, and constructability.
- Executive presence with strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across industries.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, technical, and executive teams to drive growth.
- Familiarity with long, complex sales and approval cycles in regulated industries.
- Willing and able to travel domestically (up to 40%).

Role Description We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can shape, lead and deliver high‑impact business‑winning strategies that take OpenWorks’ world‑class technology into exciting growth markets. This is a unique opportunity to own the full business development lifecycle — from blank‑sheet strategy creation to winning bids, securing major contracts, and influencing how cutting‑edge counter‑UAS technology is adopted by defence and security customers. You will be the driving force behind our growth, working closely with end users, partners, and internal teams to turn ideas into successful campaigns and profitable long‑term relationships. What You’ll Be Doing: - Run business‑winning strategies and campaigns to secure new orders and grow the business internationally. - Taking ownership of opportunities from concept through to profitability, ensuring sustainable market growth. - Leading the development of compelling bids, proposals and customer‑focused value propositions. - Working collaboratively with strategic partners and distributors around the world. - Representing OpenWorks in formal presentations, expert panels, demonstrations and one‑to‑one meetings. - Travelling as required across your designated geographic areas to engage with customers and partners. - Ensuring compliance with company processes and applicable laws.
