Typical Day in the Life A typical day as an AI Engineer Intern with Eide Bailly includes real world, hands-on exposure to everything a full-time AI Engineer may do in their typical work day. Throughout your time as an intern here you may: - Build small components of AI agents, such as narrative stubs and prompt structures. - Assist in training and tuning agents for improved performance. - Manage and update agent backlog items to ensure project momentum. - Create and maintain a prompt library for various agent use cases. - Iterate on prompts and document findings to optimize agent responses. - Feed and structure data for model tuning and evaluation. - Research and validate model responses for accuracy and relevance. - Develop templates for diagrams and process maps to support agent workflows. - Create short training videos for agent handoff and onboarding. - Document process flows and best practices for future reference. - Draft business cases for AI and automation initiatives. - Build and maintain a library of case studies to showcase impact and learnings. - Conduct small-scale experiments to test new ideas and approaches in AI. - Summarize results and recommend improvements for future iterations. • Design/Review electrical substations, including layout, equipment selection, and equipment specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. • Review load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination studies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of substation designs. • Review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD electrical or Bluebeam. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including utility companies, contractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and permits for substation projects. • Review and evaluate vendor proposals for technical accuracy to specifications for substation components. • Identify opportunities for design upgrades, improvements, or provide value engineering solutions. • Provide technical support during the construction, testing, and commissioning of new substations, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to substation equipment and systems, both remotely and on-site. • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for substation failures. • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in substation design, automation, and protection systems. • Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and guidelines for substation engineering activities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including transmission planners, business development, testing and commissioning, construction, SCADA/OTS engineering, PV engineering, and BESS engineering to ensure the seamless integration of substations into the overall power grid. • Participate in constructability reviews and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards in substation facilities. • Assist with mentoring junior engineers, technicians, and peers providing guidance, training, and lessons learned on substation design principles and practices. • Maintain accurate documentation and records of substation designs and modifications. • Participate in team meetings/calls regularly. • Demonstrate and maintain a safe work environment and direct safe work practices in energized substations. • Complete other responsibilities as assigned. • Ability to travel as needed (~%10)

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Boundary Control and Access Point (BCAP) infrastructure components including firewalls, routers, switches, and associated security appliances. • Perform configuration management and change control procedures for BCAP boundary devices. • Enforce and maintain network access control policies at the boundary to protect classified and sensitive systems. • Coordinate with network operations center (NOC) and security operations center (SOC) teams to investigate and resolve boundary security events. • Support BCAP architecture reviews, upgrades, and technology refresh activities. • Ensure all BCAP components are operating within approved configurations and security baselines. • Administer, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Access Policy Manager (APM) in support of secure application delivery. • Develop and manage F5 iRules, profiles, pools, virtual servers, and persistence configurations. • Perform health monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for F5 BIG-IP environments. • Troubleshoot application delivery issues including SSL/TLS offloading, load balancing failures, and traffic policy conflicts. • Support F5 software upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups. • Integrate F5 APM with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including CAC/PKI authentication. • Configure and support Common Access Card (CAC) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication mechanisms on F5 APM and network boundary systems. • Coordinate with PKI administrators to manage certificates, OCSP/CRL configurations, and certificate trust chains. • Troubleshoot CAC authentication failures and PKI validation issues across network and application layers. • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes for BCAP and F5 systems in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 and DoD RMF requirements. • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and supporting RMF documentation. • Implement and validate security controls and continuous monitoring requirements for boundary and application delivery systems. • Participate in security assessments, audits, and vulnerability remediation activities. • Serve as a technical escalation point for network boundary and F5-related incidents. • Analyze traffic captures, logs, and system events to diagnose and resolve complex issues. • Support incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery for boundary security events. • Maintain detailed incident records and produce after-action reports as required. • Develop and maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks. • Create and update technical documentation in accordance with organizational and federal standards. • Provide knowledge transfer and cross-training to support team members.

The contract’s purpose is to modernize and sustain critical home loan technology systems that support LGY’s delivery of mortgage-related services to program stakeholders, to provide continuous delivery and security integration. Position Description: The Oracle Engineer supports the VA LGY DevSecOps 2.0 program by developing and optimizing Oracle database solutions and integrations that enable mission-critical home loan systems. This role builds and maintains complex PL/SQL and SQL, performs performance tuning and large data set optimization, executes ETL/data migration and reconciliation activities, and ensures strong data validation, auditability, and integrity. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues in high-volume environments and supports API/integration work, including Salesforce-related integrations.
