As a Systems and Integration Developer, you'll be responsible for designing integrations and functions around the core set of Regent system in areas of Student Records, Customer Relationship Management, Business Intelligence, Reporting and Automation. You will play a key role in both front-end and back-end development, using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET (Core and MVC), PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery. This role is based remotely, joining a UK-based function working to the UK time zone. You'll join a small, dedicated team, working on both major initiatives and smaller system improvements. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a strong individual contributor, able to manage independent work without a dedicated QA team. In return, the role offers a chance to make a real change, manage end-to-end work, design creative solutions and expand skills in SQL, database management, and integration technologies. This is a deep internal development role, not a post where you will work on small code tweaks in a large pipeline for many clients. Specific duties and responsibilities - Design and Develop Solutions: Create and enhance functionalities and web applications for the student record systems (UNIT-e) using C#, ASP.NET, and PHP to support student administration processes. - System Integration: Develop and support integrations between core Regent Group systems using - Automation and Enhancement: Create automated processes using a mix of solutions, warehoses, Microsoft Power Automate and SQL to enhance the student journey and administration processes. - Consultation on Solution Design: Provide expertise in developing new products around student systems. - Workflow Development: Create workflows using JavaScript and jQuery to facilitate interactions between systems and automate operational processes. - Change Management: Review, develop, and implement change requests related to Production and UAT environments. - Issue Resolution: Resolve issues and bugs related to software applications promptly. - Testing: Conduct thorough testing, including internal and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Deployment: Deploy new functionalities to production environments efficiently. - Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder needs and expectations through effective communication. Additional duties: - Agile Development Practice: Help the team mature as an Agile, DevOps CI/CD development pipeline. - Process Improvement: Enhance operational processes in terms of change management and Agile development best practices. - Support Tasks: Assist with business-as-usual tasks related to third-line support of systems, integration, and automation. Person Specification EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES Essential: - Full proficiency in English. - Ability to discuss requirements with colleagues. - Ability to work collaboratively within a development team. - 3-5 years of experience working with .NET technologies. - Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and PHP. - Experience developing API integrations and using tools like Postman. - Comfortable with SQL, ideally MS SQL Server and T-SQL. - Familiarity with JavaScript and jQuery for front-end development. - Experience in both front-end and back-end development. - Familiarity with project-based environments and team collaboration. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Experience working independently, without a large team backing. Desirable: - Experience with SaaS platforms. - Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC. - Experience in database management. - Experience with Power BI and Dynamics integrations. - Experience in the Education sector (especially UK). - Experience delivering new systems and implementing major changes. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Essential - Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core frameworks. - Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL. - Experience with API development and integration. - Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, and front-end development technologies. - Familiarity with modern software design, development methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., Agile/Scrum). - Understanding of integrating systems and working with data warehouses. - Excellent analytical and documentation skills. Desirable: - SQL server administration knowledge - Working knowledge of development within student record systems (e.g., UNIT-e, SITS). - Knowledge of the Power Platform, including Power Automate. - Proficiency in the .NET MVC framework. - Wider skill range of development technologies - Understanding of Azure and Virtual hosting environments. EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential: - Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent level experience/training. Desirable: - Microsoft certifications on the Power Platform. Job Summary: The Pricing Systems Analyst will be the architect and the builder behind SmithRx’s pricing models and bid data infrastructure. This role focuses on the back-end development, refinement, and enhancement of our proprietary pricing tools using SQL, Tableau, and Looker. You will act as the bridge between the Proposals teams and our Data, Engineering, and Operational departments, ensuring our data pipelines are robust, our models are accurate, and our pricing pathways are cutting-edge. While focused on development, this role remains a critical subject matter expert, providing ad-hoc support and direct contribution on high-complexity submissions when the pipeline requires support or deep technical intervention.
