We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to join the Snap Lab team and work on our next-generation Augmented Reality Spectacles. What you’ll do: - Partner with Engineering, Technical Operations, and contract manufacturers to ensure product meets factory yield targets. - Coordinate defect resolution with engineering technical operations, and contract manufacturers. - Develop and maintain documentation on failure analysis procedures, repair procedures, best practices, and lessons learned. - Perform detailed failure analysis on manufacturing failures, including PCB board-level, device level, and FW debugging to identify the root cause and resolution. - Provide yield reports, defect pareto data, action plans, and escalations for functional performance quality. - Mentor, train, and lead contract manufacturers on failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution. - Define or develop tools and fixtures that are required for Spectacles and board-level failure analysis - Collaborate with Factory Test and Reliability teams to validate Factory Test effectiveness through circuit analysis or inducing defects and validating test processes. - Provide guidance on or Design-for-Repairability, Design-for-Manufacturability. - Provide status reports and present data on yields, defects, and resolutions to senior leadership team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Strong understanding of electronic and components and PCB design, and manufacturing process - Proficient with reading schematic designs, familiarity with schematic capture, gerber files, etc. - Knowledge and failure analysis experience in acoustics, cameras, displays, RF (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc) - Familiar with use of failure analysis equipment e.g. microscope, oscilloscope, multimeter, OMM, etc - Experience with consumer electronics tear down and assembly process. Description The Senior Electrical Engineer at Hyper Solutions plays a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems that power Hyper’s data center infrastructure solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer contributes to both design excellence and execution efficiency, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.
