University Financial Aid- Loan Repayment Support (NFWS/FWS) Position Summary/Purpose: Grand Canyon University is seeking a Loan Repayment Advisor to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU’s University Financial Aid department. The purpose of the position is to assist in lowering the University’s Cohort Default Rate. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions: - Handle inbound/outbound calls while providing excellent customer service - Utilize critical thinking skills to counsel students regarding the successful repayment of their federal student loans - Become well-versed in student loan repayment and postponement options - Be professional and discreet; maintain student confidentiality Equipment Used and Responsibility: - Equipment required and provided by the University: laptop, monitor, mouse, and headset - Programs needed to function in the job: Microsoft Suite, Loan Tracker, and Jabber Qualifications: - Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening - Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types - Ability to successfully multi-task while navigating multiple systems - Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Teams - Willingness to work during breaks a plus - Hours of Operation are Monday – Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Arizona Time - The position is remote at your own location and must be within 30 miles of campus - Phoenix locals preferred Experience/Education: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
