Senior Front End Engineer

• Be capable of taking on any size and complexity of Front-End projects. • Be able to deliver the Front-End portion of projects on time and on budget. • Evaluate frameworks, technologies and tools and determine their relevance to a particular project or the wider department. • Work closely with team members from various departments. • Utilize AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude code, and/or GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency, reduce boilerplate work, and support rapid prototyping. • Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, including advancements in AI-assisted development, and evaluate their relevance to team productivity and project quality. • Be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. • Write the majority of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on a project based on prototypes, designs, and functional documentation. • Work closely with the Front-End Lead/Architect to understand project needs and learn new development technologies. • Collaborate with back-end engineers to ensure seamless integration of components. • Experience developing large web sites and web applications. • Experience building headless architectures. • Maintain and fix bugs across multiple projects as well as ensure that standards are being kept throughout the front-end code. • Ensure all front-end aspects of projects proceed efficiently, predictably and on time. • Review the statement of work, functional spec, and other documents to understand the project goals and front-end specifics such as: hours sold, timeline, browser support, coding standards, framework requirements, etc. • Identify and raise potential project risks to the team and help to alleviate those risks. • Perform smoke tests on various devices and browsers.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in similar roles
- 3+ years working with React.
- Agency experience
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with SASS, SCSS
- Strong command of web standards, responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of one or more JavaScript frameworks, React preferred.
- Knowledge of other frameworks such as Angular and Vue are a plus
- Experience with source control systems (GIT)
- Proficiency with AI-enhanced development environments and tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to improve code quality, speed up development, and support intelligent refactoring and debugging.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Good judgment, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a finely tuned balance of technical purity and pragmatism.
- Knowledge of common code design patterns, design principles and industry best practices.
- Remain up to date with industry trends and technologies and be able to apply this knowledge to project work.

Role Description The Engagement Specialist I will serve an integral role in patient engagement. The Engagement Specialist I will be responsible for telephonic outreach to Somatus members to enroll them in the program and facilitating their initial interaction with the care team. This role will also answer inbound phone calls and assist the care team members with rescheduling or reengagement members. This role is a fully remote position. - Outreach to members to introduce the Somatus program and encourage enrollment. - Complete the scheduling of their initial visit with the care team during the enrollment process. - Manage a daily queue of members to be outreached; performance will be measured by number of calls completed and members enrolled in the program. - Quality documentation of interaction with members will be expected; quality will be measured by correctly following the process and the level of detail in the notes. - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while still completing tasks with a high level of accuracy. - Consistently presents a professional, empathetic, and energetic approach during all interactions with members. - Effectively assess situations and determine the most appropriate path to address the member’s needs.
