• Design and implement modern REST-based APIs and microservices using .NET and C# . • Develop and deploy cloud-based applications leveraging Azure PaaS and Azure Containers. • Implement serverless solutions using Azure Functions and integrate with Logic Apps and API Management. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Bicep, and ARM templates. • Debug and troubleshoot complex C# .NET applications using MS Visual Studio. • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software. • Collaborate with Product Owners, DevOps, Security, QA, project managers, and business analysts in an Agile environment. • Work with Azure Cosmos DB for data storage and access patterns. • Ensure best practices in design, coding, deployment, and engineering standards are followed.

THE OPPORTUNITY We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to the payments team located both in Brazil and Portugal. Responsible for the platform that serves the entire Wellhub business, processing millions of transactions for users and companies around the globe. We work closely with cross-functional teams and payment service providers to deliver optimum checkout conversion rates and efficient account management interactions. We are creating a new architecture and set of systems that will guarantee consistency across multiple areas and services. YOUR IMPACT You will research and execute strategic projects along with your team. Your deliverables influence B2B and B2C checkout conversion around the globe, by both creating new payment mechanisms and improving/maintaining existing ones. Together with the technical leadership, you will implement and deliver solutions working with a cross-functional team. You will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, working closely with mid-level and junior engineers and help them speed up their learning curve. WHO YOU ARE Essential requirements: - Commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions and continuously improving processes - Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Kotlin/Java with Spring Framework. - Strong knowledge of asynchronous processing, message queuing, and retry/backoff strategies for reliable system communication - Solid software architecture expertise, including: - Event-driven architectures - Domain-Driven Design (DDD) - Hexagonal / Ports & Adapters architecture - Strong software quality orientation with proficiency in automated testing (unit, integration and e2e tests) - Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services and Cloud-Native environments (Kubernetes, container orchestration, service discovery). - Expertise in designing and implementing observability and traceability strategies, including distributed tracing, centralized logging, and metrics instrumentation. - Proven track record with microservices architectures, high-throughput distributed systems, and resilience engineering techniques (circuit breakers, retries, fallback mechanisms). - Demonstrated ownership of technical decisions, architectural trade-offs, and phased delivery strategies throughout career. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. Additional Desirables: - Software development using AI tools - Practical experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions). - Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra). - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform). - Experience with progressive delivery strategies such as blue-green deployments, canary releases, and feature flagging.
