Role Description The organization’s global reporting ecosystem — including dashboards, data models, and analytical workflows — is a critical technical layer supporting Individual Giving (IG) performance monitoring, operational reporting, and decision‑making across Country Offices and National Committees. As SES adoption has matured, market demand has shifted from basic reporting to increasingly complex Power BI segmentations, Salesforce reports with advanced logic, and frequent changes to dashboards used for financial and operational processes. In parallel, Country Offices have reported the need to create reports outside SES, indicating gaps in consolidation and automation. The consultant will be responsible for stabilizing, consolidating, and modernizing the SES global IG reporting ecosystem, covering the full reporting stack from data models to dashboards and alignment across platforms. The scope includes 6 phases. (See TOR for details) Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or other related quantitative or technical fields. - 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data modelling, analytics engineering, or similar technical functions. - Proven expertise in Power BI dataset design, including incremental refresh, partitions, DAX optimization, and metadata governance. - Strong experience with data warehousing, SQL, ETL/ELT, and transformation logic across multi‑market environments. - Experience aligning Salesforce reporting with BI/KPI frameworks. - Experience working within the UN system, UNICEF, or similar international organizations is an asset. - Demonstrated ability to automate and document financial or operational models. - Experience producing technical documentation, KPI definitions, SOPs, and dashboard or dataset specifications. - Ability to deliver training and capacity-building for non‑technical users. - Experience with UNICEF/INGO fundraising data and supporter/campaign structures. - Familiarity with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) and/or Python/R for analytical prototyping. - Understanding of AI governance, data ethics and privacy considerations. - Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of another UN language (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic) is an asset. Requirements - UNICEF’s Core Values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability and Sustainability (CRITAS). - Commitment to include everyone, irrespective of their race/ethnicity, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, socio-economic background, minority, or any other status. - UNICEF encourages applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender, nationality, religious or ethnic backgrounds, and from people with disabilities, including neurodivergence. - Reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities throughout the recruitment process. - UNICEF does not hire candidates who are married to children (persons under 18). - Zero-tolerance policy on conduct incompatible with the aims and objectives of the United Nations and UNICEF. - All selected candidates will undergo rigorous reference and background checks. Benefits - Diverse opportunities for professional and personal development. - Attractive compensation and benefits package. Application Process - Qualified candidates are invited to submit the following documents via the online recruitment portal, TMS (Talent Management System): - An up-to-date TMS profile and curriculum vitae (CV) - Cover letter - A separate financial proposal - A detailed technical proposal - UNICEF does not charge a processing fee at any stage of its recruitment, selection, and hiring processes. - All UNICEF positions are advertised, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
