Our team works four days per week (36 hours), which means a three-day weekend every week. 🎉 The role We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong experience in Vue and Laravel, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine desire to serve the local church through great software. You will work closely with our Director of Engineering and our small product team. You will own features end-to-end once scope is defined. Your work will include writing code, writing tests, reviewing pull requests, offering suggestions to improve the developer experience, and occasionally making edits to our `AGENTS.md` file. Job Summary Experienced Structures Stress Analysis Engineer for developing and certifying new aircraft and related product designs at Cirrus Aircraft. Also develops analysis and test methods used for structural substantiation. *On-site in Duluth MN is preferred with relocation support. This position will also be available for remote within the United States we have current Payroll Services (approximately 50% of the US). Please list your state of residence in your application. Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions - Generate and review structural analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structures that includes detail part sizing, and strength assessment of primary and secondary structure and systems installations, as well as correlation to test articles using classical hand analysis methods and FEA. - Responsible for stress analysis and test documentation generation and review. Includes test reports, design reports, test plans and test reports. - Assist in developing aircraft structural layout. - Leads project assignments and takes responsibility for designs and design outcomes. - Anticipates project tasks. - Material Review Board (MRB) - Develops repair dispositions and repair substantiation for MRB non-conformances. - Develops FAA certification plans. - Develops and validates analysis methods. - Mentor and coach less experienced stress engineers and design engineers. - Participates in personal and department continuous improvement activities. - Recognized within engineering for structural technical competence. Knowledge of developing internal loads as well as component loads is required. - Classical hand analysis (including composite laminate plate theory). - Highly experienced with Finite Element Analysis (FEMAP/Nastran preferred). - Knowledge of FAA Part 23 regulations for aircraft certification. - Experience with composite repair design and substantiation. - Flight control system loads, and analysis experience preferred. - Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to demonstrate ability to read, write and speak the English language. - Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance and decision making.
