What You'll Do: Under general supervision, develops business solutions utilizing company specified technological platforms. Performs complex and detailed analysis of existing and proposed systems and procedures to solve complex business problems. Develops and recommends new and improved operating procedures and methods for application systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Provides management with information to assure that systems and methods are producing the desired results. Performs system administrative functions as assigned to maintain the operations of custom or commercial software systems as required. Receives trouble calls on applications, assesses problems, and delivers outstanding application support to internal customers. Trains company personnel in technology solutions. Provides problem-solving support to IT users. Provides guidance and direction to other programmers as required. Major Job Activities: - Analyzes, develops, and maintains software modules of web, database, and work collaboration applications. - Maintains software program standards and procedures for software development projects. - Assists with defining requirements, recommending solutions, and implementing desired solutions. - Designs, develops, tests, and documents programs and reports. - Resolves software problems when discrepancies are identified. - Provides continuing investigation of methods to improve software quality and software development productivity. - Development and management of intranet and internet web pages taking advantage of Microsoft SharePoint technology. - Administration of custom and commercial web software within an enterprise environment. - Consults with personnel from various departments in order to resolve technical problems pertaining to individual sub-systems and procedures. - Ensure IT systems compliance to laws and regulations under which the company operates. - Provides user training and documentation of newly developed automated systems. - Identifies opportunities to improve processes with automation. - Performs additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Education: - Bachelor’s Degree. Two (2) years' related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. - Experience: - Minimum of five (5) years' of progressively responsible analysis and programming experience. - Other Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Skills & Technology Used: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload. - Ability to provide great customer service under stressful conditions. - Strong knowledge of SharePoint, SQL Server, PC Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.), Active Directory, ticketing systems, Visual Studio, PowerShell, and HTML. - Proficient with the following technologies: SharePoint Administration & Development, SQL Server T-SQL, C#, Team Foundation Server. - Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
