We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer to be part of our software development team that is working for client in Europe and North America. In this position, you will design, implement and support cloud infrastructure working closely with teams in the EU, Brazil and other countries across the world. This is a digital transformation challenge for a client in Europe that is continually growing. Deliver scalable system enhancements that expand business capabilities, enable multi-brand operations, and ensure sustainable platform evolution. Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of existing solutions while enabling future integrations and parallel initiatives. Promote structured knowledge transfer to strengthen internal ownership and foster long-term autonomy in development. Key Responsibilities: Solution & Platform Architecture: Design and evolve secure, scalable Azure platforms, aligning infrastructure with .NET microservices, CQRS, and event-driven architectures. Own key design decisions, balancing business needs, non-functional requirements, and long-term strategy. DevSecOps & Automation: Lead CI/CD (Azure DevOps) and enforce Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform) standards, ensuring repeatable, secure, and auditable environments. Cloud Infrastructure & Operations: Implement and operate Azure services (Container Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, networking). Own incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis in distributed environments. Security & Governance: Apply security-by-design and support governance and FinOps practices, including identity (Entra ID), access control, and cost optimisation. Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring and tracing (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry) and support SLOs, alerting, and reliability practices. Collaboration: Act as a technical reference, collaborating across teams, mentoring engineers, and promoting best practices. Required Skills & Experience: Strong experience with Azure cloud architecture and platform engineering Knowledge equivalent to AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305 Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure at scale Hands-on with IaC (Bicep, Terraform or similar) Strong experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps) and DevSecOps practices Solid understanding of security, identity (Entra ID), and governance Experience with observability (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry) Familiarity with containers (Docker, Azure Container Apps/Kubernetes) Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed systems Ability to drive technical decisions and influence platform direction Nice-to-have Skills: Knowledge of non-functional requirements (performance, security, GDPR). Experience with Azure data platforms (SQL, Data Factory, etc.). Familiarity with scripting (Python or similar). Experience with FinOps and cost optimisation. Exposure to AI-driven DevOps / AIOps and automation. Experience with event-driven architectures. Role Description The Senior Power Platform Developer must be able to meet the key criteria below: - Location: 100% remote.
