Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field;
- Track record of proven people management experience (3+ years) focused on developing and growing people;
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic systems;
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Streaming architectures);
- Strong knowledge of data structures and software design patterns;
- Good understanding and ideally successful application of AI/ML;
- Experience with modern software development practices, such as agile methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description Summary The Software Asset Manager – Operational Lead & Support is responsible for day-to-day execution of Software Asset Management processes and supporting the strategic SAM program. This role serves as the operational lead for non-strategic and lower-complexity software agreements and provides analytical and execution support for strategic suppliers managed by SBP. The position helps ensure accurate software inventory, effective license utilization, and operational compliance with ITIL 4 and CMMI-aligned processes. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Operational Lead for Non-Strategic Agreements - Serve as primary operational owner for non-strategic, lower-risk software agreements and vendors (e.g., departmental tools, niche vendors, smaller contracts). - Manage the software lifecycle for these agreements, including requests, approvals, procurement coordination, deployment tracking, changes, and retirement. - Ensure that all operational activities for non-strategic vendors comply with SAM policies, standards, and documented procedures. Operational SAM Execution - Perform daily SAM tasks such as entitlement and installation reconciliation, maintenance of software inventories, and management of license allocations. - Monitor and help improve data quality across SAM tools, CMDB, deployment tools, and procurement systems. - Support reclaim/uninstall campaigns and optimization initiatives to reduce unused or underutilized software. Support for Strategic Suppliers and Renewals - Provide analysis and operational support to SBP for strategic and complex software suppliers and global agreements. - Prepare data and analyses for renewals, true-ups, and license position assessments, including usage reports, baselines, and scenario comparisons. - Execute remediation and optimization actions defined by the SBP for strategic portfolios. Compliance, Controls, and Audit Support - Support internal and external software audits by preparing evidence, inventory snapshots, entitlement documentation, and reconciliation reports. - Help implement and monitor controls that reduce license non-compliance and security risks related to software. - Ensure adherence to ITIL 4-aligned processes and contribute to CMMI-based process improvement efforts. Continuous Improvement and Collaboration - Identify operational pain points, process gaps, and improvement opportunities based on daily execution experience. - Collaborate with the SBP and other stakeholders to standardize and refine SAM processes and tools. - Work closely with IT operations, Service Owners, Procurement, Security, and Finance to embed SAM activities into routine workflows.
