Department OverviewDesign & Develop batteries, chargers, power supply, audio accessories (remote speaker mic), earpieces, carry solutions for highlysophisticated two way communication products used in professional & mission critical markets of the commercial, government & industrial segments. Job DescriptionBe involved in the product development activities from the conceptual stage to mass production, including: - Preparing new products concept design that meets customer requirements & expectations, de‐sign, process & safety guidelines - Using 3D modeling & surfacing CAD software to design new products - Interpreting & generating 2D drawings per mechanical drafting standard - Performing mechanical tolerance analysis and DFMEA - Setting up & maintaining bill of materials - Supporting prototype/pilot builds - Performing mechanical verifi cation tests per products specifi cations and writing test reports - Releasing mechanical prints & parts qualifi cation reports - Compiling information for user manuals and/or instruction sheets -Solid understanding of energy product (cell, battery, power supply & charger) safety, and apply it into the design and assembly process. Basic RequirementsAt least a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines. - Minimum of 8 years working experience in related field. - Good in analytical & problem-solving skills. - Good knowledge of material properties (sheet metal and plastic). - Able to work as an individual as well as a good team player. - Able to communicate & present the conceptual ideas to the technical audiences. - Familiar with assembly process such as SMT, plastic ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, low pressure molding etc. - Knowledge of battery, power supply and charger design will be an added advantage. - Knowledge of Creo Parametric 3D software & plastic tooling constructions will be an added advantage. Design Engineer – Dynamic Studies and Modeling

• Develop PSSE, PSLF, TSAT and PSCAD models of renewable plants • Perform model quality tests and model benchmarking for various software models • Understand dynamic model block diagrams and tune parameters to meet regional model performance requirements • Support interconnection applications; tasks include preliminary plant design, assemble simple preliminary drawings, and completing application forms with design information • Conduct some preliminary system studies, like reactive power studies • Work closely with the developer clients to understand their needs, deadlines, changes in design and address feedback from the system operator/transmission owner • Understand and stay apprised of updates with various regional requirements for interconnection applications, processes, deadlines and queue schedules • Respond quickly to customer design changes, questions and deadlines, and maintain a flexible attitude towards the work • Stay current with regulatory changes, new grid codes, and evolving ISO/RTO requirements related to grid interconnections • Conduct voltage and frequency ride through studies, and support model validation for renewable projects to support NERC compliance standards • Stay up to date on new industry guidance and standards for modeling and NERC compliance for relevant technologies • Help develop tools to automate and streamline model quality tests and analyses
• Perform physical design related tasks for high voltage substation projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV. • Manage, design, and perform design checks related to technical activities. • Develop and/or revise existing drawings and specifications. • Assist in reviewing junior engineer’s designs and verify compliance with client standards. • Document QAQC reviews, maintain record documents, and communicate information to the team. • Manage tasks on multiple projects while maintaining GAI’s high standards of project management.

Ability to crawl in to areas if necessary. - Visual Acuity: Ability to discern single line and 3-dimensional computer images representing objects being designed or drafted. - Hearing: Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection. - Physical exertion: Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break. - Breathing: Ability to work while wearing a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus if required on a project.
