Title: Quality Director Location: Woodridge United States Job Description: Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Quality Director to join our Distributed IT team. This role will be based remotely with anticipated up to 50% travel. The expected annual salary range for this role is $146,000 - $215,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a EIC bonus program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Reporting to the Operations Director of Distributed IT (D-IT), the Quality Director will be responsible for quality for the Distributed IT Division's $840M+ business. This role will develop and execute the division's quality strategy to support rapid growth in utility and data center markets, ensuring world-class supplier performance and manufacturing excellence. The Quality Director will drive measurable improvements in quality and have a significant impact on D-IT's annual and multi-year results. This includes significant growth in NPI launches, sourcing strategy, and partnering with operations leadership to design new product lines in our sites. What you'll do: - Lead the execution and deployment of the Strategic Quality Plan for the Distributed IT Division, representing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring alignment with Eaton's standards and customer expectations. - Leverage cross-functional and regional resources to maintain product flow consistent with industry standards, government, and customer requirements. - Develop and execute the division's quality strategy, including the implementation of a unified quality management system (EQMS), KPIs, dashboards, and accountability routines. - Represent D-IT in corporate quality councils and industry forums, actively participating as a senior member of the ES-A Quality Leadership team and Eaton's global quality council. - Ensure consistent deployment of quality systems across all plants and engineering processes, driving standard metrics, problem-solving rigor, and root cause analysis for quality incidents. - Lead corrective action initiatives and lessons learned programs to foster continuous improvement in process, product, and service quality. - Build and manage a structured supplier quality function, including qualifications, audits, incoming quality, corrective actions, and risk mitigation. - Oversee supplier performance and collaborate with procurement and operations to resolve supplier-related quality issues, ensuring compliance with customer, industry and QMS standards. - Address customer feedback and quality complaints, ensuring timely closure and systematic solutions, and engage directly with key customers to maintain trust and support contract negotiations. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality excellence, partnering with Quality Corporate leaders to align practices and strategies with the Eaton Quality System and develop talent according to corporate strategy.
