About the Role: As a Budget Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide business and financial management support that will contribute to maintaining and expanding the capabilities of homeland security. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Developing/modifying a work breakdown structure (WBS) dictionary - Developing a budget breakdown consistent with the WBS dictionary - Resource allocation planning and spend plan development - Performance and execution reporting - Acting as the budget point of contact for all issues - Directly support the team in the development, planning, and coordination of all activities related to development of the budget, WBS, schedule, and milestones - Supporting leadership in formulating, interpreting, and applying major financial policies, principles, and procedures in support of future-year planning and cost estimation - Creating budgetary presentations that illustrate financial projections, goals, shortfalls, etc. for federal decision-making - Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive Location: You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. - 1-3 years of Property Insurance experience in underwriting and/or product/program management support roles. - Proficient in SQL or Snowflake for data extraction and expert-level Excel (Power Pivot/DAX) for program reporting. - Practical experience building and troubleshooting dashboards in Power BI or Tableau. - Proven ability to validate financial data and ensure alignment between underwriting standards and reporting. - Ability to process and adapt to change in a rapid growth new-company environment.
