REPORTS TO: Regional Director LOCATION: Remote EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt THIS POSITION INVOLVES PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Yes THIS POSITION INVOLVES MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: No JOB SUMMARY The Journeyman’s primary responsibility is to be an impactful missionary in a specific location and explore and grow in the ability to be a lifelong missionary or church planter. MINISTERIAL QUALIFICATIONS - Due to the ministerial nature and duties of this role a clear and compelling sense of God’s call to ministry leadership must be expressed and in evidence. Ephesians 4:1, 11-13; Acts 13:2; Ephesians 3:8. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY - Work with assigned Send Relief and Send Network staff in the development of a comprehensive mission’s strategy that ensures the facilitation of measurable outcomes in meeting compassion ministry and church planting objectives.  Compassion ministry targets align with Send Relief focus areas of Poverty, Refugees & Internationals, Foster Care & Adoption, Human Trafficking and Crisis Response. - Assist with the development and implementation of ministry opportunities through local churches and surrounding communities, as well as coordinate the pairing of projects between volunteer mission team requests and church needs. - Work to start build ministry while cultivating leadership and resources to ensure self-sustainability within two years. - Assist in the coordination and execution of ground logistics for volunteer mission teams. - Assist with the discovery and deployment of local and national churches to provide volunteers, resources and financial support for the ongoing compassion ministry and church planting needs. - Partner with Send Relief Gen Send teams or individuals (i.e. Spring, Summer, Semester, etc.) to fulfill mercy and compassion ministry and/or church planting projects. - Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor, Send Relief Ministry Center Director, or Send City Coach. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university. POSITION SUMMARY: The Salesforce Developer will provide innovative solutions for business needs while balancing effort and feasibility with cost and maintainability. A successful candidate will have a record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and budget constraints and a proven track record of working efficiently with business and technical teams. This role involves not only application development, but also project management, business and technical analysis, training, mentoring, innovation, collaboration and supporting other technical and business resources. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Software Development: • Participated in all phases of software development. Including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prottyping, coding, testing, deployement, and support. • Develops high-quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL • Develops highly interactive UI using Lightning Web Components (LWC), modern JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS/SASS. • Builds and customizes applications using the Salesforce Platform, including Salesforce Flow, Apex, and Lightning Experience, while ensuring smooth integration with external systems via RESTful APIs, OAuth, and event-based architectures. • Applies Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and secure coding principles for building enterprise-grade applications. • Champions Salesforce adoption and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for the latest Salesforce features and releases. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams from Sales, Marketing, and Service to implement, support, and expand cloud applications across the organization. • Creates and executes comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites using tools like Salesforce CLI, ApexMocks, and Jest for LWC. • Operates and leverages Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies, utilizing tools such as Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and SFDX CLI. • Gathers, analyzes, and documents functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions, and production issues reported by end users, maintaining a focus on scalability and maintainability. • Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: • Experience with the Lightning Component Framework, including Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components. • Proficiency in Apex, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks. • Strong understanding of web development best practices, with a focus on application security, performance, and data privacy. • Understanding of multi-tenant architecture and considerations when working within Salesforce Governor Limits. • Experience with Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds, along with platform automation using Flow Builder and Apex Triggers. • Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps processes and tools, such as Gearset, or Autorabbit. • Hands-on experience in integration technologies like Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC). Salesforce Configuration is a must have Ability to: • Collaborate efficiently with business and technical teams. • Demonstrate understanding and ability to articulate complex requirements. Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other, related fields preferred. However, upon evaluation, equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement. • 2 or more years of application development experience specifically in Salesforce application. development, including code-based and declarative techniques. • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle best practices. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration) • Salesforce Developer Advanced Certification. • Custom development experience on other platforms (i.e., C#, Java, Python). • Experience in a Scrum/Agile development environment. • Understanding and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools. • Willingness to learn and use new technologies. • Experience in a non-profit environment.
