• Lead and manage engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Conduct regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and career development opportunities • Set direction and anticipate scaling challenges through thoughtful technical and personnel planning. Define priorities, track KPIs, and manage technical debt while aligning with business goals • Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, set timelines, and ensure timely delivery of software features. Manage agile processes to maintain high velocity and efficiency • Ensure best practices in architecture, system design, and code quality. Oversee the scalability, reliability, and security of systems and infrastructure • Work closely with stakeholders, including product, finance, and customer success teams, to prioritize feature development and enhance the customer experience • Lead the hiring process to grow the engineering team. Provide mentorship and career development for team members, including junior managers

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong alignment with PermitFlow’s culture. You are comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, where ambiguity is common.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling teams in a startup.
  • Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of testing and performance optimization for web applications.
  • Experience in high-growth startups or SaaS.
  • Bonus points if you have familiarity with construction or permitting industries.
