The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in driving intelligent and disciplined decision-making across the organization by delivering high-impact financial insights, leading key planning processes, and partnering closely with business leaders. This individual consistently takes ownership of outcomes, leads workstreams independently, and elevates the performance of those around them. This position is either fully remote or hybrid (Rochester, NY office), depending on candidate preference. Many operations and sales employees are based in the Rochester office, along with parts of the Accounting team, making hybrid a strong option for local candidates. Most of the Corporate Finance team works remotely and may travel periodically for projects and workshops Responsibilities - Lead monthly expense reviews for assigned areas, including variance analysis (actuals vs. forecast vs. plan), and communicate clear, actionable insights to business partners. - Support and manage forecasting and planning for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and alignment with broader financial targets. - Play a significant role in the annual operating plan cycle, owning key sections and supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs. - Partner with functional leaders to support decision-making and provide financial insights, including evaluating trade-offs and highlighting risks and opportunities. - Independently manage projects and workstreams from end to end within assigned scope. - Develop and enhance financial models to support forecasting, planning, and business analysis. - Analyze large, unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights and identify trends impacting performance. - Support and continuously improve management reporting, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and decision-useful. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across finance workflows. - Leverage AI and automation tools to improve analysis, streamline processes, and enhance output quality. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field. - 3–4 years of relevant experience. - Proficient at developing innovative solutions to complex problems. - Strong discipline and drive, track record of meeting deadlines and achieving results. - Ability to manage assigned workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs with limited supervision. - Ability to construct, maintain and review a financial model. - Ability to work with unstructured, imperfect or incomplete data. - Comfortable collaborating in a fully remote environment across different time zones. - Written communication skills, experience preparing management or board presentations, synthesizing financial and non-financial data. - Verbal communication skills, particularly explaining complex topics simply to colleagues without a finance background. - Excellent attention to detail. - Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred - Experience in using artificial intelligence and advanced analytical tools in a corporate finance setting is preferred. - Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar EPM tools is preferred. - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL is preferred. - CPA, CFA or MBA designation is preferred (or international equivalent). - Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP tools is preferred. Insurance Verification/Financial Clearance - Gathers, adds, updates, and/or verifies detailed insurance coverage and financial status with each patient. - Creates new and maintains existing insurance coverages/guarantors for a patient based on their insurances and the care being provided. - Complete insurance verification on each patient’s insurance using electronic verification in RTE, payer portals, or other required methods. The PAS Revenue Cycle Specialist staff will also re-verify the eligibility insurance information if the insurance was not verified in the current month. - Reviews MMIS for all uninsured or single coverage patients - Provide financial screening for low income or non-sponsered patients and refer patients to apply for Oregon or Washington Medicaid or OHSU Financial Assistance when appropriate. Works closely with Patient Financial Services on referrals or questions. - Maintain knowledge of current insurance plans along with the Epic plan distinction, and current eligibility verification process. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent; AND - One year of experience in a medical office setting, including high-volume direct patient contact, scheduling of appointments and registration and/or billing responsibilities. OR - Two years of work experience in a high-volume direct public contact, front-line non-healthcare setting position.
