Preferred, but not mandatory: - Experience teaching in a higher education setting. - Master’s degree in Social Work or 18 graduate semester credits in Social Work. - LICSW. - Experience working in a behavioral health, human service, or social work setting. - Experience teaching online. - Experience with and a commitment to using open educational resources (OER). How is Faculty Salary Determined? Per the MSCF contract, each new faculty member’s education and experience will determine how they are credentialed and where they are placed on the salary schedule. The Campus HR office is not able to guarantee an annual salary for faculty, therefore, when a new faculty accepts the job offer, they do so understanding that, initially, they will be placed at the minimum salary for that position. After a new faculty is hired, they have the opportunity to submit their education and verified work experience forms through their online employee profile, which is then received by the System Office, who makes the determination of their salary. Key Responsibilities - Review, analyze, and underwrite residential mortgage applications according to company policies, investor standards, and regulatory requirements. - Analyze income, assets, credit documentation, employment history, credit reports, debt ratios, and loan-to-value (LTV) metrics to determine borrower creditworthiness. - Evaluate the collateral/property appraisal when applicable. - Recommend loan terms or conditions as necessary. - Review system-generated documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy. - Gather additional information when needed to support loan decisions. - Communicate lending decisions and respond to inquiries from affiliate banks, loan centers, and branch personnel. - Maintain accountability for risk elevation and adherence to underwriting policies and procedures. - Exercise independent judgment on unusually complex problems. - Stay abreast of changes to federal and state laws/regulations affecting consumer lending. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - 5+ years' experience with government mortgage underwriting (FHA and VA). - 5+ years' experience with agency and/or portfolio mortgage underwriting. - Active FHA DE and VA SAR designations are required. - Proficiency with mortgage software and related tools, including Encompass 360 (LOS), Desktop Underwriter (DU), and Loan Product Advisor (LPA). - Extensive knowledge of mortgage credit, underwriting concepts, and loan documentation. - Proven ability to review and analyze complex income scenarios, assets, credit reports, debt ratios, and LTV calculations. - Strong understanding of federal and state consumer lending regulations. - Ability to make sound, consistent credit decisions with a high degree of accuracy. - Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain quality while managing high loan volume. - Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills. - Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
