We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our technical efforts, designing and developing robust solutions, and providing technical guidance to other engineers. You'll have the opportunity to own features from start to finish, influencing specifications, building out backend services (Typescript), and interacting with the frontend (React). You will play a vital role in improving and scaling our software, directly impacting the third-party logistics (3PL) industry. You will help design and develop applications that transform the entire merchant-to-consumer journey, creating a seamless and branded experience that empowers our merchants' customers with proactive communication and greater control. Ultimately, your work will help our merchants build stronger brand loyalty and increase customer satisfaction. What You'll Do - Technical Contribution: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure systems, focusing on simplicity and maintainability. - Problem-Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges across the stack, driving innovation and delivering efficient solutions. - Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and professional development. - Collaboration: Work within a team of Engineers and partner with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize work, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality features. - Code Quality: Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and software development practices. - Feature Ownership: Take ownership of entire features from ideation to deployment, influencing specs and building out backend services. - Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with other teams to contribute to scaling processes, tools, and technologies. What You'll Need - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on modern web development - Proven track record of architecting and implementing complex, distributed systems in production environments - Strong understanding of full-stack development principles and scalable system design - Experience with fullstack Typescript products including Node.js and React - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP - Experience building complex web applications and working with large datasets - Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies - Experience with high-performance, scalable web applications Bonus Points - Previous startup experience - Previous Senior+ positions - Previous logistics or supply chain experience - Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.) - Experience with message queues and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) - Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, etc.) - Experience with progressive web applications (PWAs) and mobile-responsive design - Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications
