About the Role The Defined Benefit Client Leader sets strategic direction and oversees the daily pension operations for their assigned clients. They contribute to developing functional business plans and strategies, ensuring effective service delivery to clients and achieving business objectives. Responsibilities - Leading the defined benefit client delivery team in developing and implementing strategic plans to meet client needs and business goals. - Providing guidance and direction to the team in delivering high-quality service and support to clients. - Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of client initiatives. - Monitoring industry trends and Canadian pension standards to proactively address client needs and maintain compliance. - Overseeing the development and delivery of client reports, presentations, and communications. - Building and maintaining lasting client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving. - Develop and manage Defined Benefit talent within the organization Requirements - Have extensive experience in defined benefit client management or related roles. - Strong communicator who simplifies the complex, can translate strategic direction into team vision and deliverables - Creative, innovative, problem solver - Seeks out collaborative opportunities across the business to drive results - Possess exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. - Be knowledgeable about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in defined benefit. - Possess a relevant background in finance, business, or a related field.
