City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift Multiple shifts available Overview: Overview The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst provides advanced data analysis and reporting support to drive operational, clinical, and strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions that monitor program performance and support business objectives. The analyst partners closely with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, perform ad-hoc analyses, and promote self-service analytics capabilities. This position supports key service lines such as Hospital Medicine, Stroke Regulatory Reporting, and Neurosciences, ensuring alignment of provider reporting and performance metrics across the portfolio. The role also contributes to data quality, data stewardship, and the identification of new metrics to enhance reporting accuracy and insights. As a subject matter expert, the Healthcare Data Analyst Senior leverages strong analytical and technical skills to provide data-driven recommendations, support regulatory reporting, and enable performance improvement across clinical and operational domains. This role also mentors junior analysts and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful analytics solutions. • Support an exciting new program focused on identifying vulnerabilities in Medicaid, Medicare and the Marketplace • Review and analyze publicly available data related to Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Marketplace exchanges • Collaborate with CMS Center for Program Integrity (CPI) to effectively identify and target specific healthcare vulnerabilities to detect and prevent FWA • Extract qualitative and quantitative relationships (i.e., patterns, trends) from large amounts of publicly available data using SAS, SQL, R, Python, or other statistical tools • Gather and organize information for use in supporting decision-making process • Collect, manipulate, analyze, evaluate, and display data using visualization tools • Perform data analysis and create data summaries using descriptive statistics • Implement open-ended data merges, data analysis plans, and perform complex data manipulation and reporting tasks • Develop, write, and present detailed technical solutions to solve open-ended business problems to technical and non-technical audiences
