Principal Technical Program Manager – Core Services, Enterprise Architecture

• Lead the definition and evolution of the Core Services roadmap, ensuring technical debt, scalability, and innovation are balanced against business priorities. • Act as a business advocate for Enterprise Architecture tooling and processes. • Develop strategies for project execution to drive the adoption of EA standards, ensuring they provide tangible business value and streamline enterprise-wide delivery. • Lead highly visible, cross-functional project teams dealing with notable risk and complexity. • Drive critical product and architectural decisions by translating complex technical trade-offs into business impact. • Proactively identify and solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the company. • Establish and institutionalize best practices, templates, and governance models. • Act as a subject matter expert in the software delivery lifecycle, guiding engineering teams through complex evaluations and integrations. • Establish and lead a communication framework for Core Services. • Provide day-to-day direction, strategic guidance, and mentorship to product owners and business analysts. • Move beyond "identifying issues" to predicting and neutralizing systemic risks before they impact delivery timelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, IT, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Advanced systems thinking and the ability to solve ambiguous, non-routine problems that affect multiple systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in software architecture and IT systems frameworks, patterns, tooling, and processes, with a proven track record of advocating for their adoption across business units.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling business cases for executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated client service experience and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support.

Qualifications - 10+ years as a hands-on Enterprise or Platform Architect in a technology company setting with 15+ total years of technology delivery experience. - 3+ years leading an architecture function including people management. - Track record of driving architectural transformation while establishing strong architectural governance models preferably in a large geospatial platform organization. - Expertise in cloud-based data platform evolution, at-scale geospatial content production & distribution, event-driven architecture transformation, and/or data quality framework implementation will be critical to your success. - Experience playing a lead Architect role on multiple high-volume SaaS, DaaS, and Agentic technology deployments is required, preferably in the Geospatial domain. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM field, Master’s degree preferred.
