The Data Analyst position is a key role in turning the data into meaningful insights and impact. Our quest is to discover and cultivate novel business opportunities that redefine the marketplace." Your Responsibilities As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming how Euroclear Finland manages, governs, and uses its data. Your primary responsibility during the first years will be to establish and implement robust data governance practices, data policies, and data quality frameworks across a rich set of data. You will build a holistic understanding of our data landscape and help turn datasets into meaningful and trusted business views for internal and external use cases. You will work with colleagues across Euroclear Finland and the Euroclear Group on cloud development and scalable data solutions. You will also contribute to the Nordic cooperation initiative, aiming to transfer Euroclear Sweden's core CSD functions to a shared IT platform by 2030. This supports the European Savings and Investment Union by standardizing IT infrastructure, operating practices, and strengthening Euroclear's Nordic services. Data Governance & Policy Implementation (Primary focus for first 2-3 years) - Implement and maintain data governance standards, ensuring consistent data definitions, lineage, classification, and retention rules across the organization. - Drive the rollout of data policies, ensuring compliance in a regulated financial market infrastructure environment. - Build and maintain inventories of data assets, ensuring transparency, traceability, and fitness for purpose. - Work with stakeholders to ensure that governance rules are understood and applied across teams. Holistic Understanding of the Data Warehouse - Develop a deep understanding of the structure, logic, and dependencies within Euroclear Finland's complex financial data warehouse. - Map source systems, business processes, and data flows to support both operational and analytical needs. - Connect business requirements with technical implementations to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Business Meaningful Data Views & Insights - Build standardized, governed, and business aligned data views for internal stakeholders (e.g., product management, operations, risk, finance). - Develop data assets that support service development and regulatory reporting. - Translate raw data into information models that are easy to interpret and use. Cloud & Technical Enablement - Collaborate with Euroclear's cloud teams to support the implementation and adoption of cloud data tools. - Contribute to developing cloud-based data pipelines, metadata catalogues and quality monitoring frameworks. - Support the modernization of data environments using approved Euroclear cloud technologies. Cross Functional Collaboration - Work with Product Management, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Euroclear Group teams to ensure data aligns with business needs. - Participate in group-wide governance initiatives and harmonization efforts where applicable. What we are looking for - Strong analytical skills, solid business understanding, and a sense of accountability - Hands-on experience in data governance, data policies, or data quality management - At least 5 years of relevant professional experience - University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in technology or business - Experience in data product development, requirements gathering, or project or program management - A good grasp of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and metadata management - Ability to translate business needs into structured and governed data assets - Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Finnish and English are important - Background in the financial sector is considered beneficial but not required - Familiarity with SQL and modern cloud data tools in Azure, such as DataBricks and PowerBI, are valuable - Curiosity and some foundational knowledge of AI models and cloud-native machine learning services, and an interest in how they can enhance Euroclear Finland's services and operations, are welcome - Independent, customer-focused mindset with a positive and proactive attitude - Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under strict timelines - Ability to thrive in an international and multicultural environment, adapting easily to diverse teams and perspectives.
