Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: The UI Foundation team has a deep history at Airbnb, responsible for the design system, accessibility, motion, and the tooling that connects how Airbnb designs and builds products. Within UI Foundation, the UI Tooling team is the connective tissue between Airbnb's Design Language System and the day-to-day workflows of hundreds of designers and engineers across the company. UI Tooling owns the platforms, integrations, and tooling that power how designers and engineers work — spanning design tooling, UI engineering workflow tooling, collaboration platforms, and increasingly, AI-powered workflows across all three. As AI enablement for designers and engineers accelerates, this team sits at the center of some of Airbnb's most strategic infrastructure investments. The Difference You Will Make: As the Engineering Manager of UI Tooling, you will provide the dedicated leadership this team needs to execute with consistency, clarity, and long-term strategic direction.
